Is it me??? This woman just got off the same tube as me with not a coat in sight 😱😱😱 not even a blazer. I know I REALLY feel the cold & am already wearing 5 layers under my coat but REALLY??? #cold #doyoufeelit #nocoat #nosleeves #it #is #winter #freezing #outside #really #how #is #this #possible

YOGA SEQUENCE: One Legged King Pigeon or Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana 40mins
WARM UP: DON'T SKIP IT -
1. EXTENDED PUPPY
Keep elbows shoulder width 2. LOW LUNGE
Opening the quads will take stress out of the lower back, so low lunge is essential
3. REVERSE LOW LUNGE
This will twist the spine as well as stretch the side body which will aid in making back bends much easier
4. REVOLVED REVERSE LOW LUNGE
A deeper twist which again helps the spine to really open up, think of lifting up & out of the waist line to twist yet keep the chest open like cobra
5. WALL LOW LUNGE
I used a chair for photo purposes but feel free to get creative, point is to have the back shin upright to get deeper into the quads & hip flexors. Resist leaning forward & surrender into it
6. COW FACE
Or gomukasana arms, use a strap if needed but opening the deltoids will increase mobility in the shoulder overall
7. REVERSE PRAYER
Keep the chest open as you move the arms up the spine, if the wrists are dying stop & do my "yoga sequence: tight shoulders & upper back" sequence instead
8. PIGEON
I prefer to prop up my hips to help keep my hips squared & back thigh rolled down, use something squishy so as not to irritate the tushy
If you can keep the body upright without hands then proceed with sequence, if not repeat steps 1 - 5 until you can. It will save you future agony
9. SAME ARM
Strap up or use whatever you have but make the loop shoulder width, flip the grip (go bigger on strap if not working) & let the foot pull your arm back, leg does all work not the arm
10. OPP ARM
Same as 9. Just opposite arm. Think of letting the arm go past your ear, remember to keep elbow up (tricep to ceiling)
11. BOTH ARMS
Self explanatory, but this step is so crucial in opening your shoulders.
12. FIND FOOT
Crawl your hands down the strap to eventually find your foot. If you have to cry to find it, stop & do the strap work again
