am i suck of benching almost every day?? almost!! sucks not being able to squat or deadlift but at least my bench has finally been improving after too long of a plateau. 135 for 8 @ 8ish rpe 👻
The last few months have definitely been a struggle 😬. Work has been tough and exhausting and, mentally, I have not been in the game. Unfortunately, when the going gets tough, fitness is the first thing to drop off the list due to the amount of time, energy and dedication it requires. That's just part of life though 😓.
After a nearly 3 month hiatus, yesterday was my #day1 🙏🏼. Got back into the gym and repped out some deads.
I've definitely lost some strength, but here's to falling and getting back up again ✌🏼.

I would like to wish Hans a 49th birthday. Hans has opened his door to firefighters for years now and has shared all his knowledge on strongman. When you accomplish a goal, be damned proud. I had sat out to pull 405 on deadlifts before the 18th of November, and today I was able to get this lift. Wanted to record it, but I needed the music so maybe I'll get "video proof next week. But for now, I'm celebrating this victory and now have my sights on something heavier.

The term "bulking" is probably the most detrimental term in bodybuilding as it ruins so many physiques. It is critical to stay lean, roughly 6-8% body fat, in your offseason to remain insulin sensitive which optimizes how nutrients get absorbed. This applies to females as well but roughly 15-18% body fat😉 For both genders as long as you're in a positive nitrogen balance (intaking more protein than you excrete) and positive caloric balance to promote an anabolic atmosphere you'll grow and grow rapidly! The body cannot handle an excess of 500+ calories per day therefore there's no need to slam pizza and burgers during your "bulk" as these will only turn to fat and if anything this could be detrimental as these foods negatively impact digestion and cause you to get backed up. Moral of the story keep it lean and keep the food clean in your off-season or bulk. Here I sit at 244lbs and roughly 7% body fat as estimated by DXA scan :) #bulking #offseason
