Situated just an hour from Evenes Airport and a mere 20 minutes from the city of Harstad, these cabins are ideally positioned for exploring the Lofoten and Vesterålen regions. The cabins, located in Kvæfjord, a short ten-minute journey from Nupen – “Norway’s most romantic place” – are set to open on the weekend of September 8-10, coinciding with the start of the Northern Lights season.
Each cabin boasts a bed with a view, a private patio with a hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and access to a sauna with mirrored glass windows offering panoramic fjord views. Additionally, guests can enjoy direct access to the shoreline and hiking opportunities right from the property, both on foot and on skis.
In collaboration with Estonian company ÖÖD Houses, two of the four new cabins feature expansive roof-to-floor windows, perfect for romantic Arctic nights. These cabins offer a blend of luxury and romance, nestled in nature, with disability-friendly access from the parking area.
The two foremost cabins are designed with reflective floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, creating a harmonious connection with the surrounding nature and offering expansive views from within.
This innovative design instills a sense of wonder and curiosity about what lies beyond their reflective facade. Inside, the cabins are equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, dining area, and a bed, making them ideal for a couple’s retreat.
The location near Borkenes is exceptionally suited for Northern Lights viewing, thanks to minimal light pollution. The winter months often bring weekly Northern Lights displays, attracting numerous visitors to the area. The accompanying image showcases the view from the property.
