150/365 - Education has been a very sensitive matter in technology since always. There are endless discussions around whether a developer, software engineer and IT professionals should or not pursue a formal education or go all the way self-taught.
I honestly don’t see going to college nowadays as the best investment for a programmer to make.
We do work using logic as one of the most important premises of our work process and choosing to flood in debt, not too solid programming foundation, very unpractical assignments, outdated curriculums and very long and slow knowledge acquisition have always scared the shit out of me.
However, I do acknowledge that there are institutions out there concerned with our formation thus dozens of e-learning platforms dedicated to enhancing and guiding you through your professional intent. You are in their best interest and the experience through their system delivers and retains a lot more than regular education does.

Just pointing a few of the companies I’ve trusted along my journey as reference: @udacity , @teamtreehouse , @pluralsight , @devslopes , @coursera , @codeschool , @codecademy , @freecodecamp , @udemyde , @getmimo.

We learn at a distinct pace, methodology, and abstraction.
The question is: why should you trust your money and future to a pedagogical model that only sees through a unique and linear way of learning?
The answer is: you should not. It will come down to your preferences but do consider what your peers have to say about their own experiences. The tech community is very united, make good use of that.

Spent the evening refreshing my memory on data structures for the next blog post. I tell yah, the best way to learn this stuff is just to practice practice practice! Build it, get stuck, bang your head, tear it down, then build it all over again. Sums up the programming journey
