I’m a hard working and devoted Mom above all else. I’m also a professional who is consistently striving to bring fresh insight and value into my workplace. I balance life with all of the ups and downs of having kids to nurture and grow. Some days I struggle to keep my head above water, but those days I still get the job done. I’m passionate, loyal, over-protective, insecure, and all sorts of crazy wrapped up nicely in this short, but extremely capable body, God and my Momma gave me. But truly this isn’t about me - today I want to give a LOUD shoutout to the Moms who sometimes feel the weight of the world on their shoulders and still manage to keep everyone moving towards progress. Keep going and don’t ever let someone tell you that you’re not enough. ✨💪🏻💯

As a physiotherapist and personal trainer I too have weaknesss I’m working through . Since giving birthday almost 3 years ago I do not feel like my body has recovered and have suffered issues as a result.———————————————————————-
I have finally in the past few months started lifting weights properly and working to get myself strong again.Not perfect form still improving but it’s a start. ————————————————————————— I was at a place where I was afraid to lift weights hated doing anything but cardio because I was so rubbish but got my head right and back on a mission and feeling good again. —————————————————————————
It’s not a quick fix but with time , commitment and determination I will get there .

🔸From there extend your arms, maintain your plank, and when are you pulling yourself up? Focus on keeping your elbows in front of your chest. If you drop your elbow, you are going to turn the curl to row. .
🔸After each curl, switch it to Clutch. Which your forearms arm coming on top of each other or both fists are facing each other. .

I'm going to be real here and not create some sugar coated caption I see all over fitness pages on Instagram.
I lost quite a bit of weight (7kg) and then bulked for a little bit (or so I told myself to feel better) but in reality no I didn't want to bulk.

Yes I ate healthy while bulking with some moments where I'd slip but I was on track to get to my goal weight and I slipped.

I'm not going to sugar coat anything, last month was really tough on me and mental health can be a real bitch sometimes,I comfort ate and gained some weight again because my thoughts just said what's the point anyway who cares just give up. I'm not going to lie it was so tempting to just let my negative thoughts win.

But I'm stronger than this and will keep fighting to take my emotions out in the gym not through food, it's not going to be easy and I'm still working hard towards a healthy mind but my point is if you ever feel like this don't beat yourself up or blame yourself.

Take every single day as it is and focus on the moment. Most importantly find a way to channel those thoughts into something positive.

Have you ever used PNF to stretch? If not, here's why you should and what it is!

PNF stands for Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Fascilitation. When you stretch, the golgi tendon is the proprioceptor that senses the tension of the of a muscle via stretch to the muscle. If a muscle is stretched too far, the golgi tendon will activate and cause the muscle to "give out" in order to prevent tearing.

PNF causes whats called the Autogenic Inhibition reflex which is a sudden relaxation of muscle upon development of high tension. It is a self-induced, inhibitory, negative feedback lengthening reaction. By doing PNF, we can "turn off" the GTO and stretch further.

Always listen to your body and if you feel unsafe doing this, please stop. Always move slow when stretch, and remain focused.

This is PNF of the triceps with a band. Set up a band behind you so that your elbow is pointing towards the ceiling. Next, translate forward as far as comfortable until you feel the stretch. Hold there for 20 seconds.

Next, with about 25% contracting force, contract your triceps by pushing your forearm up towards the ceiling. Hold for 7-10 seconds.
Now relax your triceps and translate forward as far as comfortable. You'll be able to stretch a little further than the starting stretch. Hold 20 more seconds.

PNF can be done to any muscle. Remember to move slow and take your time.

All the C&J today. Waves up til 280#. Which felt good so I of course decided to just do one at 295#; which then felt as soft as baby 💩. Maybe one day i’ll learn to follow a program and not be an idiot. Then some doubles at 345# on the front skwats.

🚫Physique update 🚫 123lbs
Lifting heavy and eating a lot. The only supplement i take is vegan protien and thats used as one of my daily meals. No supps, no pro hormone, no gear. Just taking the time i need to grow properly. Also getting frequent ART done to help improve the growing process. No show in mind at the moment. Shows dont go anywhere and I definitely wanted AT LEAST a year to grow. So i am enjoying this process and enjoying life at the same time.
