Unter der Woche ist es für uns Normalos ja eher schwierig viel Zeit in ein köstliches Menü zu investieren. Da muss ein schnelles aber trotzdem köstliches Abendessen her. Jetzt in der Herbstzeit genieße ich viel Kürbis. Auf jede erdenkliche Art und Weise. Heute Abend gab es eine herbstliche Tarte mit Kürbis und Feigen. Ein eher dezentes aber dennoch leicht würziges Essen. Dazu gab es den 2016er Muskateller Kabinett trocken vom Weingut Arndt Köbelin aus Eichstetten am Kaiserstuhl. Im Geruch fruchtig, in Richtung tropischer Früchte, wie Ananas, Papaya und Litschi, umspielt von leichten Zitrusnoten. Im Geschmack wird der Geruch sehr gut widergespiegelt, allerdings dezenter und die Mineralik rückt in den Vordergrund. Man schmeckt förmlich den steinigen Boden. Ein unkomplizierter Alltagswein, der sich super zu leichten und dezenten Speisen kombinieren lässt.

I love this double terminated Smokey Citrine from Dara Pech Kunar in Afghanistan. Non descript at first glance, it’s growth habit is intense and really just off the charts. The terminations on one end are multiple and contain what I think are Cerrusite inclusions. It’s a lovely, muted golden hue.

1 cup leafy vegetables = 1 serving
1/2 cup grapes or berries = 1 serving
1 small bell pepper = 1/2 serving
1 medium piece of fruit = 1 serving
1/2 cup cooked or raw vegetables = 1 serving
1/4 cup dried fruits = 1 serving
1/2 cup (4 ounces of 100% fruit or vegetable juice) = 1 serving
It is beneficial to have more vegetables (especially leafy greens) than fruits per day and fresh is always better!
