tmartsenyuk Mila embroidered her name on a pretty piece of fabric and wanted to make a sleeping bag out of it, so yesterday we picked out some coordinating fabrics and got to work. Mila did all the sewing herself, and we put batting inside so it's cushy and warm for her pet deer to sleep in. I have to say, I'm pretty proud of our efforts! 14h

tmartsenyuk The girls have been such bookworms lately and I love it. I find them reading everywhere and all the time. After church and lunch I sat down with my book for a bit yesterday and she promptly got her books and joined me. 16h
  •   dashabozhko @tmartsenyuk that's so awesome! I was also quite the bookworm as a kid and remember the huge imagination I had. 16h
  •   thatistat She looks so grownup here. Wow, time flies. 14h

tmartsenyuk She won't let me carry her and likes to walk on her own now while holding on to my pointer finger. I know holding my baby's hand is one of those things I will really miss once this last one is too old for it. 5d

tmartsenyuk The house is clean, the laundry is done, and the kombucha is made. Now to get the kids in bed and unwind with a movie. Happy weekend, friends! 1w
  •   anna_kot Good stuff!!!! 1w
  •   mrsmazun 1w
  •   lena_trofi How can I make this? Do you a recipe? 1w
  •   mrs.ivanchenko I love that stuff. How do you make it? 1w
  •   tmartsenyuk You need to get a scoby with a cup or two of starter liquid (kombucha that's ready to drink). In a glass gallon jar add 4 cups boiling water, drop in 4-5 tea bags of black, green, white, or red tea (just nothing with oils or flavorings in it), and steep 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1 cup cane sugar until dissolved, then add 8 cups room temperature water (either boiled and cooled off or water that sat overnight to dechlorinate it). When tea mixture is cooled to cooler than skin temperature you can drop your scoby and starter liquid in. Warm water will kill your scoby so be patient at this part and make sure your water is cooled off. Cover with a piece of cloth and a rubber band to supply oxygen to the scoby--no lid! Let stand in a not too sunny spot but not a cold spot either 7-15 days depending on taste preference. You can put a straw in every once in a while to check taste. I got my scoby at kombuchakamp.com. @lena_trofi @mrs.ivanchenko 1w
  •   lena_trofi Thank you so much, I buy this stuff regularly and now I can save some money making it myself! 1w
  •   ana_oh Good job! 1w

tmartsenyuk I'm one of those clingy wives that just wants to hang out with her husband all day every day. Maybe because I don't see him much most days, but still--good thing he doesn't mind my clinginess. And the valentine bouquet lives on! 2w

tmartsenyuk I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not about our circumstances. -Martha Washington 2w
