⚠️when you read the INGREDIENTS on packaging sugar can be called MANY ALTERNATIVE NAMES!
⚠️HIGH SUGAR FOODS will leave you feeling hungry straight after eating (PROMOTING WEIGHT GAIN) unlike high protein / good carb foods (that keep you full for longer) ⚠IT CAN CAUSE WRINKLES 😳

I shared this salad in my stories the other day, but it’s worth sharing again because it has made lunch so easy this week! Trader Joe’s has an awesome new salad mix that has kale, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, Pepitas, and an orange tahini dressing. I added a Grilled pork chop, a Mandarin orange and some avocado for a nutrient dense, and oh so tasty lunch!

B R E A K K I E • was yummy ✨My homemade muesli {recipe link is in my bio} topped with coconut yoghurt, fresh blueberries & a splash of homemade almond milk.
My holiday reading has been “Balance Your Hormones” by it is really well written & simple to understand & digest.
I loved reading his thoughts on plastic & how they contain hormone disrupting chemicals which has seen correlation to many hormone related illnesses. It’s not just filling & killing our oceans but making us really sick, the list is terrifying. But here are some of his tips on how to reduce exposure
- use a paper bag or glass box to wrap your sambos instead of cling wrap
- filter your water in a glass jar or ceramic
- increase intake of plant based photo-oestrogen found in nuts, seeds, beans these help the oestrogen overload
- reduce intake of meat and dairy & fatty foods (non biodegradable chemicals build up in fat stores of animals)
- don’t heat food in a microwave in plastic containers (I don’t own a microwave as I think they are awful inventions)
- minimise fatty foods in plastic such as chocolate, butter, cheese, pies
He also noted “until the plastics industry either stops using all suspect chemicals or discloses which chemicals are contained in their products, we have no way of knowing if hormone disrupting chemicals are present or not.

So I decided to make some vegan chili for the first time. I used Bella mushrooms instead of meat. I used a ton of different beans along with other vegetables. It's very spicy lol. I used some avocado and jalapeño as the garnishment. So far so good. I tried my best lol

Did you know that weight loss also has an emotional aspect? There are many techniques that people can practice to gain control of their minds and eating habits.
1. Drink water before you eat. Often we think we are hungry when really we are just thirsty.
2. Do not eat on the go, while watching tv or doing other activities.
3. Rest and digest. Chew your food thoroughly instead of rushing through a meal.
4. Mindfulness- when you “hunger” for that sweet or salty treat Ask yourself: Do I really want this or am I reaching to temper my emotions?
5. Sleep. Lack of rest is a major factor in our decision making abilities.
6. Prepare. If you know you are in for a stressful week or event prepare your food in advance so when you are hungry you have only good options to reach for.
7. Avoid eating alone whenever possible. Talking with a friend or family member over dinner can not only ease your mind but factually people eat less when in the company of others.
