When I’m training my clients,weather they want to get stronger/gain muscle/be more “toned”,I will always use terms and methods, such as “eccentric training or eccentric contraction phase” and “muscle to mind connection” and “progressive overload”. Today I want to talk about “eccentric training”

I can not stress these enough. No one gained great shape doing lots of air squats, weight less kickbacks or consistently lifting 2lbs for all exercise year in and out.
#
To change shape of your body, we have to put ourselves through quite a lot of discomfort (not bad joint pain, or back pain etc), learn to “muscle to mind connection” which is feeling the muscles we are targeting with particular exercise, use proper form and consistently heavier and create “progressive overload”. Otherwise you are just going through the motions - WAIST of YOUR TIME (nothing worse), which often leads to not seeing desired results.

1.”Eccentric contraction” is the motion of an active muscle while it is lengthening or when lowering the weight under control. “Eccentric training” is when we repeatedly do “eccentric contraction” under load and controlling it-focussing on slowing down the elongation of the muscle
#
2.This causes “muscle damage” by creating little tears or braking down of muscle fibres and can lead to stronger muscles faster, faster muscle repair, increased metabolic rate, than using “concentric training”
#
3.You are 20-30% stronger eccentrically than concentrically. E.g. you may bench press 50kg, but you may be able to slowly lower 65kg, so by benching 50kg to failure, you are reaching failure concentrically but not eccentrically. This allows you to push further in your workouts resulting You getting stronger quicker, have stronger ligaments, tendons and prevent future injuries.

4.Muscle growth-the change we see in shape,improved fat loss,but only when we address nutrition to support this process properly.

5.Not addressing importance balanced nutrition to support your training and recovery, will lead to fatigue, loss in strength&muscle tone.
#
6.Do not attempt this training on your as beginner. Get a professional to guide you to learn this method properly.

Trabalhar com saúde intima de mulheres tem me feito sair todos os dias refletindo desse (tão novo) consultório.
.
Se abrir para falar da sua intimidade também é terapêutico. A maioria delas chega cautelosa, com receio de falar a verdade (e do julgamento que a verdade por trazer). .

Algumas trancam a respiração, outras contraem todos músculos possíveis, encolhem a barriga. Outras não fazem nem contato visual... Algumas já deitam na maca se desculpando por inúmeros motivos: falta de tempo, de depilação, cheiro ruim, que tem medo, que tem dor (o que é natural, de verdade!)
.
O que eu queria te dizer, querida paciente (seja minha, da colega, de qualquer outro profissional do mundo) que eu te entendo, tudo isso tem uma carga emocional envolvida, mas que eu não estou ali para te julgar, mas sim para CUIDAR de ti, da melhor forma que eu conseguir!
.
O importante é você se sentir bem, num ambiente agradável, encontrar um profissional que você consiga confiar e se abrir e, nunca esconder a verdade sobre sua intimidade. Não te preocupe, ninguém vai contar nada (nem te julgar).
.
Consulte um fisioterapeuta e dê atenção a sua saúde intima!

Ya gotta start somewhere! Today I starting working out with @a_beautiful_beast! She’s such an inspiration to me. I walked up and she’s was lifting damn near 200lbs and I was beyond intimidated. I started off with the the bar and then with her reassurance started adding more weight. Form is a rusty as hell but my booty looks fire 🔥I’m excited to start this new chapter in 2018 and release my inner beast!
