Luis Rodriguez has been described as one of the most knowledgeable, yet humble winemakers of Ribeiro. During the 16th and 18th Century the Ribeiro wine region was once world-renowned. The traditional wine of the area was called Vino Tostado, made from grapes hung to dry in the sun, not so dissimilar to Italy’s Amarone. Successive disasters profoundly affected the region’s wines, including war with England, oidium, mildew, phyloxera, and then civil war. Ribeiro descended into an area responsible for primarily bulk wine production. As of late, with the help of colleteiros like Luis, there has been a movement towards producing wines that are more reflective of the unique Ribeiro terruño.

Luis has just over 5 hectares of vineyards in the best locations around the town of Arnoia, a village with some of the steepest south-facing vineyards in Ribeiro. Here the soils are decomposed granite with sandy topsoil. Luis’s vines range from 10 to 50 years old, with many of them being planted by Luis himself.
He has been slowly converting these plots from the bulk wine grapes Palomino and Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouchet) to the native Treixadura, Lado, and Ferrol, to just name a few. He has tried to avoid using chemicals where possible to help preserve the natural balance in the land.

The A Torna Dos Pasás is an blend of 40% Brancellao, and roughly equal parts Caiño Redondo, Caiño Longo, and Ferrol, vine age 10-20 years old, grown on steep south-facing granite hillsides located in the town of Arnoia, Galicia. A Torna dos Pasas was fermented with native yeasts in steel vat, and raised in used 300 liter French oak barrels for 12 months.
The 2012 vintage is still very fresh and vibrant. Aromatic, medium weight with very fine fruit tannins that are soft but present. Fruit driven flavours, red fruits, violets, and a hint of spice on the finish. Only 7000 bottles produced of this wine.

You guys😳 The photo on the left was taken December 21st 2016, 4 months postpartum and 2 months into my home workout program. I no longer felt comfortable in my own skin or clothing and I found myself being the one behind the camera taking the pictures of everyone else (see how excited I look to be IN the photo😬) and seeking solace in oversized sweaters and leggings. I was SO heavy, not just the number on the scale but the weight I was carrying in my back and on my feet and the discouragement that was heavy on my mind. The photo on the right was taken yesterday, 13 months later and 2 days into my new at home workout program. I am happier, healthier and feel stronger than I have in a long, long time. More importantly I have regained a confidence in myself, energy to put into our boys and a positive mindset focused on self love and care.

Last year I was inconsistent with my workouts and often impulsive with my eating. To see the results that came from inconsistency and impulsiveness makes me wonder of the possibilities when I show up everyday, one workout and one healthy eating decision at a time. With access to more than 600 at home workouts (that I can literally pick up on any smart device and take virtually anywhere), trainer tips, meal plans, clean eating solutions, nutritional supplements AND the support and accountability from an INCREDIBLE community of like minded women gives me every tool I need to succeed. I already know what it feels like to put in 50%, now I want to see what happens when I give 100%. Remember, change nothing and nothing changes.

Hoje nós iremos te ensinar como fazer um saboroso clericot utilizando nosso espumante Tevere. Seguem os ingredientes: 1 garrafa de espumante Tevere; 50 ml de cherry brandy; 2 garrafinhas de soda; 2 pêssegos picadinhos; 2 maçãs picadinhas; ¼ de abacaxi em cubinhos; ½ manga picadinha; 8 morangos picadinhos; 1 cacho de uvas Itália (cortadas ao meio e sem caroços). Dados os ingredientes, segue o modo de fazer: Macere todas as frutas (com exceção do morango) por 30 minutos, acrescente os morangos, a soda e o espumante Tevere e mexa ligeiramente com uma colher de cabo comprido. E voilá! Está pronto! O rendimento é de 1 jarra com aproximadamente 2 litros.
