The truth is, it's difficult to have a healthy relationship with food AND a healthy body when you're eating processed junk all the time. Highly processed foods are designed to create addiction, which means you either have to restrict yourself all the time (count calories/diet/fast/exercise obsessively) or gain excess weight that your body doesn't need.

Whole plant foods, on the other hand, are freaking magical. 🌈 Whole plant foods allow you to eat until you're satisfied every day without all the excess weight gain. Whole plant foods are packed full of fiber, water, antioxidants, vitamins, phyronutrients, and minerals to keep your heart healthy, your skin clear, and your waist line slim.

Roughly 70% of Americans these days are either overweight or obese, and I know that the processed "foods" we consume (such as chips, candy, and deep fried items) are mostly to blame.

Now granted, I'm aware that following a vegan diet and eating whole foods isn't the most popular thing to do, but honestly, at the end of the day, you are the only person in charge of your health. So, take a second and ask yourself; "what kind of life do I want for myself? A healthy life full of abundance, freedom, energy and health, or one of convenience, social norms, lethargy, addiction, weight gain, and yo-yo dieting?"

It's time to put fast food companies, junk food companies, and factory farms out of business. It's time to take charge of our own health. It's time for the world to wake up and realize that the "norm" just isn't working, and that in order to SEE a change we have to MAKE a change.

Para antes de almorzar hice una entradita de hummus de arvejas! Salió riquísimo!!! Y se prepara en menos de 5 minutos... INGREDIENTES: * 1 TAZA (150gr) DE ARVEJAS FRESCAS (congeladas, en lata la que tengas) *1/2 PALTA
* 2 CDAS. DE TAHINI (no es necesario si no tenés)
* 1 CDA. DE ACEITE DE OLIVA
* 2 PIZCAS DE SAL MARINA
* PIMIENTA NEGRA
* JUGO DE 1/2 LIMÓN
* 1 AJO (opcional)

Procedimiento:
1. Colocar las arvejas, el tahini, el jugo de limón, la palta, el ajo, el aceite de oliva, la sal y la pimienta negra en la procesadora hasta lograr un puré suave.
2. ¡Serví el hummus con chips de batata, papa, verduras o, como prefieras! Espero que lo hagan!!

This is my typical “travel breakfast” (swipe right). I almost always bring oatmeal packets and protein powder when I travel. If my hotel doesn’t have a microwave then I just use the coffee pot to heat up hot water for the oatmeal. Topped with a banana and some almond butter 😀
