Woke up two hours earlier than I actually planned so I took care of some paperwork and prepared this “christmassy” breakfast. Credits for this idea go to my sister @pluminchen ! 😃👏🏻 I took oats and almond milk, added cinnamon, apple and one cut gingerbread and heated everything in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Topped it with pomegranate seeds! 😍 Btw thank you @lidlde for selling vegan gingerbread! 👍🏼

Afternoon coffee and cake with my mamma and babies. If you haven't tried the vegan chocolate cake in @toms_cakes you must. It's delicious!
Still can’t get over how real the @beyondmeat burger is 😵 I tried this burger once at @veggiegrill in LA and was so excited when I found it @summerhillmkt in Toronto! Definitely not something I would eat everyday, but once in a while it really hits the spot. I highly recommend all you non-vegans out there to try this and see what you think! You may end up replacing your burger fix with one of these 😋topped with vegan cheddar cheese, sautéed mushroom, avocado, tomato slice, franks hot sauce and ketchup on a @ozerybakery one bun 🍔

When you overstuff your burrito, make it a massive taco. 😉🤷‍♀️🐽 Vegetarian refried beans, pan seared onions and bell peppers, fresh guacamole and salsa all stuffed into an organic tortilla.

Not gonna lie, eating a vegan diet can be a little bit of a pain sometimes. Quick meals like this make things a whole lot easier though. Taking the time to prep your veggies so they’re ready to go when you need them is a must when you want something quick. 💚 It also helps you not grab something that isn’t quite as healthy just because you’re hungry.

Also, I’ve received a few DM’s about my family and I want to point out that I’m the only one in my home who eats this way. I don’t ever pressure my husband or boys to adapt to my way of eating. I do however try my best to base their meals around mine so we can still eat as a family. I will make something like this then add in chicken or beef for them.

The plus side of not being pushy, simply talking to them, and answering their questions, is they get to make up their own minds to choose more fruits and vegetables as snacks and at meal time. Our fridge and pantry aren’t stocked with a bunch of junk. I just don’t buy it. But we do have a couple treats in there.

Making up your own mind, and making your own choices, is empowering. That doesn’t just apply to adults but kids as well. Keep living by example, don’t have a bunch of processed food in your home to even have as a snack option, and keep presenting a variety or fresh vegetables and fruits. Slowly change will happen and your family will feel better about it because they chose it for themselves.

Dessert for me 😊😊😊 I'm a fruit fan! Are you?? Good morning, insta-world! I'm back to post a few old snaps before cracking down again on calculus! I managed yo get some yoga in this morning, and that was nice but I wasn't feeling the extra push to get up at an ungodly hour to workout when all I really wanted to do was eat breakfast 😁😁 So I went with breakfast, haha (which is not this, this is dessert, lol)

The majority of premature deaths are lifestyle and diet related and are completely preventable. Dr Milton Mills is in the process of writing a book about how humans are anatomical herbivores, evolved from a subset of herbivores, but have behaved as omnivores in times of need. This is the missing element to the bigger picture. With this information it would make sense that our heart disease, hypertension, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer all drop when we stop consuming an omnivorous diet. It steps on the toes of the current narrative and so I'm sure it'll get a lot of backlash but excited to see what evidence he provides. TAG SOMEONE WHO SHOULD SEE THIS. Vegan For The World 💪🌱
