Age is JUST a number!!!! Here's how our nutrition has changed Bruce's for the better! "I have belonged to a gym my entire life. 🏋🏽
I tried to run but my knees and hips hurt!🏃🏽
I tried to eat healthy but had no idea what that meant🤔
At 52 I was just about ready to accept my reality.
I was fat and there was nothing I could do about it.
I held my breath to tie my shoes. I was exhausted after 18 holes of golf, while riding in a cart🤔😂
Then someone told me about Isagenix! Actually, I had heard about Isagenix when one of my employees was using it. I saw the box, but He never even mentioned it to me!!!
What an asshole! 😡
I was 50lbs overweight and my cholesterol was over 330!
I was going to the cardiologist. I was in bad shape.
You think he would at least mention it to me!! I thought he liked me! 🤔
My life changed because a friend cared.
My life didn’t change 8 years earlier because one friend didn’t (were still friends)
Which friend will you be?
By the way my cholesterol is now at 173!

Start of the work week and a 14 hour day. Fasted workout on early lunch break. 3x15 chest; back and legs. 2x15 Shoulders; biceps and triceps. 3× 45 second planks. Stress is extremely high but I will not medicate with junk food. Focusing on water intake and rest. Be blessed. ⚡️I NEED THIS REMINDER TODAY!
My challengers sent me progress stats last night <doing awesome> and I did the same for my coach and it was DISAPPOINTING!
⭐️Thanksgiving derailed my nutrition but Christmas will not... it’s all a learning experience!!
🌟The way I’m now practicing and sharing health and fitness is a LIFESTYLE! No quick fixes. No restrictions. This is SUSTAINABLE!! Focus on balanced nutrition, short daily workouts, personal development, and support and accountability = recipe for SUCCESS! 🌞Tuesday Morning☀️ Why get up early and fit a workout in your day everyday? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Better question to ask is WHY NOT? 🤔

Why as humans, its so easy to eat the non healthy food, watch tv, or not make the better choice?🧐 …..COMFORT! ….We like to go by our feeling and what “FEELS right or comfortable”. …..Where does that get you? ….Overweight, unhealthy, achey, tired, unbalanced hormones, sickness, skin disorders, poor digestion, and the list goes on and on! AND only about 5 mins of satisfaction!

One of the objections when having conversations with people who have given up on themselves or stop doing the healthy behaviors that make a real difference, Their response is, “ I just don’t feel like it,” 🤕

So now what❓

Pick your hard and take the feelings out of it. 🤔

I never “feel” like waking up early or “feel” like working out. 🏋🏽‍♀️ Well, that easy for you to say “Lee Lee”, if everyone just did that then you wouldn’t have anyone to coach. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Yes, thats true. So what else keeps you focused and determined?👯‍♀️ GOALS & My WHY👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Have you set CLEAR, DEFINED Goals❓ Write them down where you can see them everyday so they are tangible. It will help you stay focus on what you are working towards, so that the days you don’t “feel” like working out or making the better food choice. You can take the “feeling” out of it and just do it. 📝

Then I encourage you to take it a step further and really define your WHY!🤷🏻‍♀️ Why do you get out of bed in the morning?
Why are you living?
Why do you want to reach those goals? ….Keep asking why till you can’t answer why anymore. 🤩Sound silly! Then put it to test and try it!!!! Lol I’m looking at my shirt as I write this...who else agrees🤣 jk but maybe sometimes not🙈🍺❤️So I was on a call last night which was about not giving up on yourself(at least that’s what I got out of it)and it was like a 💡 went off. We Moms have a habit of putting everyone else before ourselves right? So I sat down last night and started to think about my journey and why I started. I know I totally lose sight of these reasons sometimes but it’s so important to remember them. I ask you to sit down and truly think about what you want out of life. What are your reasons for this. Tonight has been a night full of reflection. I have looked back at a year that has made my heart burst full of love, joy, and sadness. There were goals I achieved, some I failed, and goals that surprised me because I never knew I wanted it.

My fitness journey...coaching is that surprise goal. It is something I never imagined me doing and now I cannot imagine NOT doing it. It has breathed life into a year that has teetered between happiness and despair.

Coaching has introduced me to community of strong, successful women. It has given me something that is greater than me. It has made me a better, more focused person. It has given me my WHY and has driven to me to new goals. Goals I cannot wait to share with all of you!#coachingismypassion 💙

Took a trip back to functional anatomy, biomechanics, and physics to see just how much more work us long-levered individuals put in with a barbell on our backs. Assuming equal lever length, body weight, and duration of an individual rep, here's what I came up with for amount of "work" measured in Joules for a 137kg/300lb max effort attempt (second vid) lasting 7 seconds:

5'6" athlete weighing 100kg would expend 1166.5 J of energy.

6'0" athlete weighing 100kg would expend 1262.9 J of energy.

6'6" athlete (me) weighing 100kg would expend 1372.7 J of energy.

To put it into perspective, it takes almost 4200 J of energy to burn one calorie, so this one attempt was worth almost 1/3 of a calorie. Pretty cool!
