Just a little bit of the accessory work I did in my glute/ham workout last night. I never thought I'd do the donkey kicks on the smith machine but they actually targeted my glutes very well. 🍑

First time exercising in over a month.
Joined a gym for the first time in over 5 years.
First time doing weights since i stopped powerlifting before we moved in December.
Leg day.

Not sure I can drive home.

×Triceps - 1 Arm Cable Push Downs:
5 sets for 12 reps (each arm)
Did 45 lbs all 5 sets..

×Shoulders - Side Raises:
5 sets for 12 reps
Did 20 lbs all 5 sets..

Some lower body stretches from our girls this morning ☺️ Stretching your glutes, hamstrings, calves and hip flexors will allow you to continue progressing in your strength training as well as maintaining muscular balance throughout.

ALL muscles should be flexible but strong bc as soon as one is weaker than another the stronger muscle will start to dominate and then you’re left with
1. An uneven, unbalanced body shape and
2. Higher chances of aches, pains and injuries 👎👎👎 I would recommend stretching your entire body 1-2x a week for 20-30 minutes to maintain mobility. This doesn’t include your warm up and cool down stretch before workouts 💪

Weights, Zumba,and #chicfila for dinner. A good ole 415 calories if I use 1/2 the packet or 460cals if I use the whole pack. For lunch I had a chipotle steak bowl with half the spoon of brown rice, half of the mild and corn salsa, a little cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. And NO SODA TODAY!!! Winning!!!

LEGS BBG 2.0 WK 5 ✅ // I was gonna say I look weirdly short in these pics 🤔... but then I realised it's not even remotely weird bc I'm 5'2'' 😂🐭🐹 ANYWAY - today was brutal, but at least the new @gymsharkwomen goodies kept me hangin' onnnnn 🎶 (did anyone else just hear Kim Wilde in their head singing, "set me free why don't you babe, get out my life why don't you babe! Cause you don't really love me, you just keep me hangin' on!" ...no? Okay. 🙃) Enough virtual singing, this stanky sweaty gal needs a shower. 🙋🏻🚿 Happy Hump Day errybody 🐫✨
