Binondo Church, also known as Minor Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz and Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish (Spanish: Parroquia Basílica de San Lorenzo Ruiz y Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario), is located in the District of Binondo, Manilafronting Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz, in the Philippines. This church was founded by Dominican priests in 1596 to serve their Chinese converts to Christianity. The original building was destroyed in 1762 by British bombardment. A new granite church was completed on the same site in 1852 however it was greatly damaged during the Second World War, with only the western façade and the octagonal belfry surviving. #wheninManila #Binondo #bengoeswhere #heritage #church #visitaiglesia #happiness

Santa Cruz Church is a Baroque Roman Catholic church located in Santa Cruz district, Manila, Philippines. It was built when the arrabal (suburb) of Santa Cruz was established by the Jesuit Order in the early 17th century. The church had undergone many repairs and reconstruction, with the last reconstruction done in the 1950s. Today, the church architecture employs a California Spanish Mission façade silhouette with the usual Filipino (Asian-Hispanic) baroque ornamentation. #bengoeswhere #wheninManila #MetroManila #santacruz #heritage #church #pinasmuna #visitaiglesia #church #happiness

Thank you daddy Sol for accompanying me in visiting 9 different churches from Lingayen to Manaoag in the province of Pangasinan. And I want to extend my appreciation to my family for supporting us doing Visita Iglesia. "No pain, no gain". With my condition, I am literally in pain right now, but doing this churches visit, I gained peace, satisfaction and contentment. "Turn to Jesus, He knows every nuances and thoughts, He knows every sigh and silent wishes." It's a tradition to visit seven different churches but sometimes there’s a particular or no set of number as it depends on the faithful’s personal preference. So, we visited 8 other churches on our way to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag.

The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene(canonically known as Saint John the Baptist Parish and colloquially known as Quiapo Church; Filipino: Basílika Menor ng Itím na Nazareno; Spanish: Basílica Menor del Nazareno Negro) is a prominent Roman Catholic Latin-rite basilica located in the District of Quiapo in the City of Manila, Philippines. The basilica is famous home for the shrine of the Black Nazarene, a dark statue of Jesus Christ many claim to be miraculous. #bengoeswhere #wheninManila #Quiapo #MetroManila #heritage #church #basilica #shrine #visitaiglesia #blacknazarene #pinasmuna #happiness
