Feeling more 🤢 than 💪🏼 right now after that second rowing session ... literally never come so close to being sick in a session, and my legs and stomach have never burned so bad 💀💀

Cant decide if I like my videos with music or without so letcha girl know what you think. Today is ARM DAY BABAY 💪🏼 so heres a fasted mashup of this mornings workout. Have been pushing arms/upperbody pretty hard lately because its my weakest. Im still trying to figure out how to get better quality videos so if yall have any suggestions lmk (my iphone sucks)

This is why it’s so important to get out of your “movement ghetto.” What do I mean by that?.

Well for one, neutral pelvis/spine is not always necessary when loading the extremities.
.
Because of my background in yoga and Pilates, my lens of awareness regarding this topic was biased towards neutral pelvis and neutral spine when lifting, pushing or pulling loads via the extremities..
.
I always wondered why so many people were arching their back during bench presses. I just thought that they didn’t know any better... and boy was I wrong!.
.
I wrongly assumed that a benchpress is just like a push-up but flipped upside down in space, and you would never arch your back in a push-up so why would you arch your back in a benchpress?
.
Now it’s not that performing a bench press in neutral is incorrect, but you’re definitely going to get more bang for your buck by arching.
.
Another benefit of training with @serrano.fitness and learning how to bench press is that I can for the first time in my life press up from prone into a plank without having to come to my knees first AND without my pelvis and rib cage sagging.

Here I am doing the bench press with an arched back. It’s a whole body exercise!.

Great park workout this morning, training with @brun.ohh for a few months now, he’s been making impressive gains in that short time, dedicating himself to his goals not only as a fellow trainer but because it’s important to progress in life. When we started training, he was only doing 5-6 reps total for pull-ups with a diminishing volume for the following 2-3 sets. But through his hard work and me pushing him to go further, he’s increased his pull-up strength 100% and he’s easily able to do 3-4 sets of 10 quality reps on our back days. A fun way to warm up for an upper body lift: use a @perform_better band around your forearms, and perform a push up, to a yoga push-up (or downward dog depending on if you learned the position in yoga or not 😂), and then tap out to the sides WITHOUT losing your hip position.
