Deload week, erg belangrijk als je progressie wilt blijven boeken. Met bepaalde trainingsprincipes proberen we het lichaam te laten adapteren, zodat we beter worden. Maar om beter te worden moet je het lichaam een bepaalde “rust” periode geven, zodat dit proces kan plaatsvinden.

Another good combo of exercises is a squat/front raise. I’ve already posted info on squats so I’ll add a little on the front raise. I’ve just gone light here with a 3kg plate because I am squatting as well instead of the 15kg plate I would normally do in isolation. Remember to train smart, you don’t have to smash out the heavy weights every session. Some exercises gain greater results Using a smaller weight. I FEEL LIKE CHILLI TONIGHT......PLUS A BIT ABOUT PLAYING AND WEIGHING.

If your OUT OF SHAPE and don’t like what you see in the mirror YOU have a choice to do something about it💪. .

And before I get shot down by the fitness police it also depends on your goals and the amount of times/training you do🕳🚓.
.
To many calories and the wrong foods consumed daily in most cases tend to lead to tiredness, lack of energy and worst case scenario health risks over time including unhealthy BMI zones: overweight, obesity etc..... it’s that simple.
.
Would you jump in your motor knowing you have to drive 50 miles without knowing how much you have left in the tank or filling it up with the wrong fuel?🤷‍♂️.
.
Think of it this way, if you don’t eat the right portions/calories in relation to your body type and RMR/TDEE the tank could be running on empty....it’s like trying to guess the lottery numbers!!. Our body is such a clever machine aswell as having our own DNA. Getting in the right nutrition in the right percentage splits for each macro group without question will put you on the right path to reaching a healthy, fitter happier YOU 👌.

The scales should be your friend.

Count your calories and eat clean = HEALTHY HAPPY LEAN YOU 🙌.

What ever you do don’t deprive yourself....its all about getting the right balance, so treat yourself every now and again in moderation, we’re only human after all😜. .

I struggled in my workouts today, guys. See! It happens to the best of us. In a GRIND Kettlebell class at @thefitnessbranch my wrist kept collapsing. Finally, fed up, I regressed to the lightest Bell and worked solely on Snatches with the owner/coach. Finally, at the very end of class I got proper form back. 🙌🏻 I cant tell you how much I appreciate an instructor who knows how to help you step back and objectively focus on quality of movement over quantity of weight. 💓
Then, I headed over to @fitwall_denver_highlands for my cardio. 5 minutes into class, I almos quit because I was hungry. But, I put my head down, dug deep, and pulled it out. 💪🏻 That being said, I face planted into dinner as soon as I got home. 🥘
Tomorrow starts a whirlwind week of travel and trade shows where I will be working 12-14 hour days for a solid week and a half. I make no promises that I’ll be working out. I hope to, but I also know that sleep will be more important. Wish me luck!

it’s not often i’ve got someone at the gym with me to take photos ... i’m really happy that i was able to take advantage of that today!
i don’t make a secret out of fact that i spilt over during my reverse dieting and am now the bearer of the chunky monkey physique... i also had 4-5 weeks of inconsistent training while i had 2 medical procedures on my back!
i am my own worst critique and always see the points i’m not happy with, i’m slowly learning to embrace the positives and the progress!
today was just an accessory day, all arms with a little bit of core strength & glute med strengthening added in. there was no back pump involved ... my symmetry posing has always been my nemesis ... i find it so hard just to pop my lats out ... whilst still no where near looking anywhere near symmetrical i am just a tad excited to see progress ... finally starting to see some slight shoulder pop happening & can see i have already put on some size ... with maybe up to another 18-24 months of growth ahead of me ... all i can say is yew!!!! this is what revs me up to push harder .. as you can see from my final set curls today ... i was determined to get those last few reps out ... no pretty going on here 😂😂
when you want the best outcome you work with the best coach, and you surround yourself with people who support you and lift you up! but you still have to do the work ... you have to be willing to put the hard yards in .. and this girl will do that and more! #watchme 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Friday night workout. Friday’s are my maintenance day and specific exercises to improve my running form. If I become more efficient and strong with my strides I can be able to keep a higher pace up longer. 50k and higher races are on the horizon.
