It’s been awhile since I shared my fave TJ finds of the week!!! Here’s some for this week ☺️ 1. Unsweetened Coconut flakes for sprinkling on top of superfood smoothies or yogurt...sooo good! And cheap 🙌🏻 2. Beet/orange juice. Add a tiny splash into your smoothie for the most beautiful color and taste 💕🌸🎀 3. Vegetable broth. Super plain, cheap and I’ve been adding it to that veggie wonton soup recipe I shared a bit ago!

Hope you enjoy! Xo

The butterfly vs the brain. I’ve had ADD my entire life and, it seems, thyroid disease for just as long. I wonder how many of us deal with SEVERAL autoimmune diseases at once. It’s damn near impossible to have just one. My collection consists of thyroid cancer, hashimotos, gluten sensitivity, and ADD.
Which autoimmune diseases do you collect?
Just another day at the office... ✌🏽🌿✨

Living with so many auto immune diseases means you never know what your day is going to look like in regards to how you feel. Sometimes I’ll feel great, other times I can’t get out of bed. It also means it takes 2x as long to get rid of that stomach bug being passed around your office. 😭😭😭 #autoimmunedisease #confessions #thyroidcancer #realshit #spoonie

Low #thyroid robs you of energy when #hypothyroidism and #autoimmune #hashimotos are undiagnosed, untreated or undertreated. Despite getting enough sleep you wake up in the morning and have no energy to get up and do any daily tasks... Do you know the feeling? More often then most #hypothyroid people realise there is a problem with thyroid hormone pathway when thyroid #hormones just cannot get into your cells and perform their metabolic action. When this happens it doesn't matter how much and what type of thyroid medication you take, you always remain hypothyroid. From the darkest, hardest time in my life, having thyroid cancer really changed who I was as a person, to becoming the strongest, healthiest version of myself.
I made a promise to myself to live healthier, and I’ve kept it! 💪🏻

I know like many #health and #wellness people on #instagram I too post my favorite foods or show #yoga pics etc. But #nutrition and #fitness are only a part of living a long and #healthy life. I've been working in this industry for almost 2 decades and along the way have ironically had my own challenges with #thyroidcancer, I've recently had a #gallbladder removal and it's unfortunately due to issues that were more hereditary than anything externally I did. I've always had a clean diet, a 20 year yoga practice and have meditated since I'm 13. So what I'm getting at is you need to learn to be mentally healthy when you are challenged. #nutrition #juicing going #glutenfree etc are only a piece of the puzzle in the big picture. Often there are hidden blessings in the struggles and if handled right you will only become more whole and healthier. #smileatyourchallenges

#SLMthankful2017 🦋
You’re probably wondering what in the world this picture is...it’s my thyroid hormone blood test results. Unfortunately this doesn’t even show you the worst ups and downs (online records don’t let me see that far back). As you can see I’ve been in the “normal range” for awhile now but when I was first diagnosed with #hashimotos I spent years trying to find a medicine and a dose that actually worked for me. And years making my own lifestyle changes in order to feel better and heal myself from the inside out. I finally got pregnant when I didn’t think it was possible. But at the end of the day - I am sooooo thankful for that diagnosis. I truly believe that because of my hashimotos I am now the healthiest I have ever been. I have been on armour thyroid meds for a few years now and have been gluten free for six years. If I am capable of feeling as great as I do each day, anyone is. If you are a woman experiencing any of the symptoms of thyroid disease, I urge you to get your levels tested immediately. 🙏🏼
