The last photo just before the storm came and drenched us whilst on our walk via Dead Horse Gap. Absolutely loved the scenery... and the challenge of it :-) #danielleconnellyphotography #australianphotography #photographyaddict #30dayphotochallenge #thredboohwhatafeeling #thredbo

“And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling”... add sore, tired and more than slightly bruised and then this couldn’t be more true after an amazing week in the mountains! Thanks @laurie_h_m for being such an awesome adventure buddy! I’m already ready to go back!🚵🏻‍♀️🏔🎣❄️❤️

At the moment this photo was taken I was literally the highest person in Australia. Three years ago knowing one of my life goals which would be a long way off being achieved, Jardian offered to take me to hike Mt Kosciuszko. Australias highest peak. We spent the day today hiking to its summit. It snowed last night so we literally hiked through snow in some parts. But we got to the top, and I got to do it with my partner in crime. - TO

Let's just talk real life for a moment. This year has been hard for us, so hard. If we were to be honest it's been the hardest year of our marriage to date. Because guys, marriage is HARD. It's full of compromise, mistakes, forgiveness, sacrifice, challenges, exhaustion and often being responsible for everyone else around you before yourselves. We have both been working hard to do better in a life that provides for both of us and has room for our marriage and that has been hard too. We are all just doing our best to be extremely imperfect people trying to love perfectly (which most of the time is beyond ALL of us). I'm no easy lifemate to have. I'm determined, often critical, extroverted and easily stressed. But I also have some pretty rad aspects about who I am too. And this husband of mine is just the same. I'm putting this out there because I know my account can focus on the best, but that's it. Just the best parts. A moment in day full of challenges, sometimes stuggles and often me going to bed thinking how I failed the people I love most in that day. I'm a happy person, our life has so many great moments, but I would hate for anyone to believe it's all smiles and joyful experiences and begin thinking that kind of life is the way it is for everybody out there but maybe YOU! But today I am grateful to be kicking a big goal with my partner in crime, who often drives me nuts, and who I often send the verge of his sanity. Life is good people, but it's also hard. And that is a paradox that is true for all of us. ALL OF US. 🎤 drop. (My husband just told me I'm not allowed to do my own 🎤 drop, but because I am me, I say I can.) - TO

Look beyond the difficulties that life can conjure and seek the small treasures sewn along your path instead ❤️
