Had a visit from an echidna friend last night 🦔🦔 #Australia #Tasmania
It's a tough life. Someone's got to do it though... I went for a run on the beach this morning so I've done the hard yards for today. Now it's time to relax.

Tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera)
. . .
Dear, Hobartians, have you noticed this unusual tree in the streets of our fine town? It is not a native tree, but well worth your attention. The shape of it's leaves cannot be mistaken. And wait till you see the flowers! They remind of tulip (hence the common name). I hope to take a snap of them later in the season. Tulip tree is one of the largest trees of Eastern North America. It belongs to a plant family, which is estimated to have evolved more than 100M years ago! Hence, Liriodendron belongs to some of the oldest tree species on Earth! You can find it growing in parts of West Hobart on Rupara Av or on Victoria St in CBD. Let us know if you spot it!

SHOP || The original Tasmanian Map Necklace in 9ct Gold. We have a few of these favourites left in stock before Christmas.
Guest post 3/4. Tasmania is definitely small and isolated, but there is a huge wealth of skill and experience across so many areas of making and manufacturing. My favourite part of what I do is exploring possibilities with existing craftspeople, tradespeople and industry. This is liquid iron, being sand cast at Apco Foundry in Hobart. #tasmania #tasmaniandesign #design #casting @van.tuil
