Do you like these starling pictures? I have many of them because I can photograph them from my window. During the week I don’t have many time to go out.😬 (Common) Starling - (Perl-)Star - sturnus vulgaris

Green Bee-Eater (Merops orientalis)

Smallest Bee-Eater among the families found in Indian sub-Continent and can reach up to 18 cm in height. Also known as Little Green Bee-Eater.

As the name, bee-eater, bees are amongst their favorite food, apart from flies, dragonflies, etc. Considering a poisonous prey, they have an interesting technique to disarm bees. By hitting and/or rubbing a bee against the branch, it removes stinger and eliminates venom before consuming.

Desert National Park, Rajasthan, India.
Dec 2017.

Everyone can go ahead and thank me now. When @sydney tried to make me run outside the other day, I decided to take some pics in the snow instead and used my tripod to pull of some Gandalf wizardry as if it was some sort of wizard staff…not to brag, but you see that sunshine today???
