🤔INSTAGRAM VS REALITY 🤔Now ....I’ve been putting this post off for a while now.

In the right photo, I am doing the classic looking down at the ground whilst showing off my gym wear and supplements, i am posing and the edits I have done are changing the colours on the photo. The right photo is a that was taken unexpectedly. When I was going through my photos picking... I HATED THIS. I didn’t like my smile, I’m not posing.. and the photo is not edited. (Yes guys. I’m sorry my garage is NOT that white 😹) It’s actually quite hard for me to post this which is a surprise to me. I work two jobs, I’m NOT always at the beach, I’m not at the gym 24/7 (close to it but not all the time haha) I’m not always doing shoots. I’m posting this not only for myself but to show others that people’s instagrams ARE NOT always how things look, or even sometimes ARE NOT always a reflection of how they live their lives 24/7. 🏆🙌🏻Learn to love your life, work hard for your dreams and don’t compare yourself!! 🙌🏻🏆

I dieted down for my 2012 bodybuilding comps eating all the junk in the world, one meal a week, to see if it was possible to still get in shape.

That one meal would consist of everything I had a desire to eat throughout the week, for example: Thai green curry and rice, a pizza with the lot, half a dozen hot cross buns and cookies and a 1L tub of ice cream.

I still managed to get lean and win a couple shows, but not as lean as previous years and I also had to go far lower with my calorie intake every other day to make up for that one binge meal.

It can be done, but it wasn't ideal for a bodybuilding competition prep.

That being said, if I was just dieting down to look 'good' and not ridiculously shredded for a comp, I think the one cheat meal/week works well... Works well FOR ME anyway, I know plenty of people who it doesn't work so well for also.

That's ONE MEAL a week, not a whole day! I would end up consuming 20,000 calories if you gave me a whole day to binge and it would set me back a couple weeks or more.

That one free-eating, binge meal per week, kept me happy and motivated to be 100% compliant throughout the week with my diet, as I knew the reward that was waiting for me at the end of the week.

If I was dieting for a show and needed to be 5% bodyfat on stage, I definitely would not incorporate cheat meals, but if I just want to maintain, let's say 10-12% bodyfat and look good for an extended period of time, then the one cheat meal per week protocol works really well for me and makes it sustainable.
