‼️Chest dip vs Tricep dip - how do you do yours?🤔‼️ ⚫Chest dip ➡️This is generally how I see people performing dips, usually because it's easier to do! Leaning forward too much (and going down low) starts to put more pressure on the chest so the chest (lower chest) gets more of a workout than the triceps. Ever wondered why you don't feel dips hitting your triceps much? This is probably why! ⚫Tricep dip ➡️To hit triceps better, I find keeping yourself as upright as you can and only lowering yourself until there is a 90 degree bend of the arm at the elbow keeps the pressure on the triceps. Try it and see if there's a difference... you'll probably find it much harder because you're actually using your triceps 😂 Keeping yourself upright should be doable with practice as I'm doing it here with 40kg!! 😱😱😱🤣 ⚫This is a good lesson in understanding that your body position can change the focus of the muscles used... despite how small the position change is.
