Baby got back...muscles...kind of? 😬 The point I’m trying to make here is that growing muscle takes time, especially for women. So if you’re not seeing results, don’t fret! Also, I always remind myself form over function. Lifting isn’t all about heavy weights, especially if you’re not doing the exercises correctly. I wish I would’ve known this when I started in order to avoid APT or pain in my lower back. SO, before you decide to “go heavy,” make sure you have the form down in order to avoid getting hurt!
With that, sometimes it’s best to invest in a personal trainer who can guide you along the way. :) There’s no👏shame👏 in asking for help! So I’m promoting 2 women, @nissifitness & @marissaroyfitness, who have helped me in building myself, both physically and mentally. :) Check out their pages and send them a DM! 💪

Have you stopped seeing progress?
It’s time to revamp your workout!!! Switch your routine cardio with a HIIT workout or slow it down for some steady state cardio (1 hour of cycling). The important thing is that you switch it up! Your body gets used to routine. Your muscles get used to it too and are no longer challenged. Surprise your body with something new. Challenge yourself in new ways!!! You’ll grow not only physically but mentally too!

Mondays are hard. You’re trying to get back into the swing of a full work week - two weeks before Christmas nonetheless, and it’s dark (and cold!) by 5pm.
Working out isn’t at the top of your to-do list. You’ve got Christmas shopping, cooking, cleaning, and probably a little work to do, and you really would just rather be watching Netflix.
How do I know you’re feeling like this? Because I AM YOU. I know. I get it.
This shit is HARD, and for all of the reasons listed above, your health and fitness can easily get pushed to the side.
BUT...for all of those same reasons, it’s equally important that you don’t let that happen.
You don’t have to spend 3 hours at the gym, and you don’t have to have it all together. (Let’s be honest...NONE of us really have it all together, and we NEVER will.) Instead of thinking of working out as an “all or nothing” thing, just try to focus on making one healthy choice at a time. That’s truly all it takes!
The more healthy choices you make, the sooner you’ll want to make MORE healthy choices, because you’re going to start to love the way it makes you feel.

We created the Conscious Cleanse as a gateway to living to our fullest potential. We want to empower personal transformation because health is always about how WE FEEL – not photoshopped images of health or beauty.

What does being healthy mean to you?

6 weeks of extra dedication and a little bit more attention to what I was eating and boom! Here are the results! I may not have lost a lot of weight on the scale, but I became leaner and lost a lot of pants! Lol Thank @crossfitvibe for the challenge and for all the support and motivation every day! I went a little easier today with leg day but my legs still feel they're going to fall off. Excellent.

Here's my workout -

10 minute stationary bicycle warm-up
3x20 elevated/banded frog pumps
3x8 dumbbell front squats
3x8 Bulgarian split squats
4x12 cable stationary lunges
4x10 bench step-ups
3x10 kettlebell goblet squats
3x8 leg extensions
3x10 seated hamstring curls (half-reps)
1 minute each plank/side plank (both sides)
10 minutes HIIT hill sprints

Oh happy day it’s Monday!!! There was a point that my Monday’s were once filled with dread and negativity. Not saying there aren’t a few here and there that get the best of me. 😏 But for the most part I look forward to Monday’s. It’s back to consistency, meal plans, and kicking my ass 😜. Still prepping for the upcoming program which I am getting more and more excited for with each day approaching. Along with the “New Year Reset” group I’ll be doing in tandem. I keep asking myself why I've been so LUCKY to deserve time with the little Alissia whilst her mum @jessicawilkes47 will NEVER have this opportunity again. ACCEPTANCE is such a DIFFICULT thing. I am so grateful to Yoga and my Wonderful Teachers for teaching me every day how to FALL but always be STRONG; how to get STRONGER; how to always see the POSITIVE. My HEART is broken 💔 for losing so many BEAUTIFUL people in my life; but it's HUGELY FILLED with JOY by other MANY gorgeous People that I've been so LUCKY to meet 🙏🏻❤️️ .

Monday’s are typically leg day for me, lots of squats, lunges, etc. But, it was unseasonably warm this afternoon, so I ran sprints instead, and did some band/booty work a bit later on. I didn’t really time myself, or sprint for a certain amount of time before walking. I would just run fast AF for as long as I could, then I would break and walk it out. I just listened to my body and went with it. I’ve actually never run sprints before, and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes it’s just nice to mix it up. Did you get your workout in?
