We don't raise our prices as we scale down from max lift capability.

Had our new hire start heat coating the recent #3dprinted thrust systems for static fire testing. Little thick but otherwise looking good. Weather prevented them from drying quickly, don't want flaking like before so we wait. #spaceflight #startup #stlouis #cubesat #smallsat #stl

So psyched to see progress in the realm of asteroid mining technology! Granted that the state of the art is little more than beginner at best, Planetary Resources' upcoming Arkyd-6 mission, set to launch this Friday, is a step in the right direction towards a burgeoning space economy!

Two more nozzles off the #3dprinter in 20 hours... still think we can shave that time down, but first some more upgrades to compensate for the increase vibration. Don’t worry, that’s not a shoebox being ejected from the International Space Station (@iss). But…it is a shoebox-sized satellite that will study space weather and was designed to show how reliable CubeSats can be.
Small satellites like these provide a cost-effective and reliable method of gathering highly robust science. Dellingr, named after the mythological Norse god of the dawn, was designed to not only demonstrate the vigor of its design, but also gather high-quality data about the Sun’s influence on Earth’s upper atmosphere using a suite of miniaturized instruments and components.

#spaceflight #startup #investment The Hermes rocket will never look like other rocket plumes, we are developing a way to throttle a solid rocket without losing the potential thrust each burn produces. These novel uses of fluid dynamic principals constitute a less complex rocket all around, cheaper to produce and operate. Scaling the rocket to your #smallsat payload means your mission can have designated launch for the same price as a ride share. PLUS increased capabilities such as launch date, mobile launch site selection and orbit preferences that a dedicated launch provides. #cubesat and constellations will be provide decreased failure rates as reliance on a single rocket system can be eliminated. #invest #funding means your company can have some reasonable control and expectations of launch availability.

We see the sawtooth formations in the Hermes tests regularly, with scaled engine packages, from shockwave formation inside the spike main flow. This test is much more dramatic than usual because of a test of solid rocket throttling principals. Pretty #conceptualart and a slick #website don't fly satellites. We made the decision at the onset to spend the money we do have on excitements and product development, but that only has gotten so far. Everyone wants to see the pretty pictures and concepts, maybe it's the lack of imagination... Spaceis not hard we understand how to do it, #spaceflight is very very complex. #startup #entrepreneur we have been Testing the Hermes thrust system for almost two years as we developed a to thrust, throttle and vector a solid #rocket for orbital insertion. Boreas was designed to fill the future needs of #smallsat and LEO
