I am really digging this book, y'all. Katie breaks down how to address every icky feeling an thought that comes into your head and gives a v simply way to *actually* detach from it. Super easy to read with lots of examples. It's on Amazon or you can even get the ebook for free from the library (my fav trick).⠀

Definitely The Fangirl Life: A Guide to All the Feels and Learning How to Deal by Kathleen Smith.

I first heard about it on @alanak145 booktube channel and I knew I had to read it and I'm so happy that I did. I loved the book!! It was helpful, funny, witty... basically it's a self-help book about how to turn ourselves from fangirls to BAMF women. I really recommend it, you won't regret it, even Kristin Hackett aka @superspacechick recommends it (literally, her opinion on the book is on the first page together with a bunch of other fangirls).

Getting lost in a book 📚
Currently finishing up: Light is the New Black by Rebecca Campbell
Three huge take always / ah-ha moments
1.) Your light has always and will always be in you. You have to let it shine by being exactly who you are

2.) Don’t do anything for likes, follows or popularity. If you have a book, write it. It you wrote a song, sign it. If you want to have an awesome movie, idea write the script and make the movie. Don’t worry who will see it, watched it, listens to it etc. Do all things because you need to. Because you are called too 🙌🏼✊🏻 3.) You already have everything inside you to do what it is your called to do. Get a tribe, a community, support. Go find like-minded people to encourage you and lift you up.

Penulis menjelaskan kalau seorang innies (penulis mengkategorikan introvert sebagai "innies" berorientasi ke dalam, & ekstrovert sebagai "outies" yg berorientasi keluar) memiliki jalur otak yg lbh panjang saat berpikir, sedangkan seorang outies memiliki jalur berpikir yg lbh pendek di otak.
Krn jalur berpikir di otak yg lbh panjang inilah yg seringkali menjadi penentu seorang innies berperilaku serta lamban, yg bagi para outies itu adalah sebuah masalah & kekurangan yg dimiliki para innies. Tapi tenang, tdk ada yg salah dgn diri Anda jika Anda introvert, memang begitulah adanya Anda. Dunia sama2 membutuhkan orang2 introvert & ekstrovert.

My new Go-To guide for wellbeing! Dr Libby explains from a biological, physiological and psychological perspective on how we lose and create of the useful strategies that I have adopted is Stop, Keep, Start.
1) What am I going to stop doing?
2) What am I going to keep doing?
3) What am I going to start doing?
For the next 4 weeks:
I am going to STOP looking at my phone from 10PM. No mindless fb scrolling, no online window shopping.
I am going KEEP Yoga-ing at 6.15am each weekday, either at home or studio.

Most successful entrepreneurs read on average one self-help book a week!!
I have a bit if an addiction to buying these books. Problem is, I photograph them for the Gram then put them on my shelf, un-read. It's like I think all that motivation and inspiration will enter me by process of wisdom-osmosis - that merely purchasing them will make me a better person / business woman / friend etc.
Well, clearly my theory isnt working so I'm taking action!!
