I decided a treadmill run at 6:15am!! I had to literally PUSH MYSELF OFF THE BED. 🛏 🤪😱😱 .
After 10 minutes legs started “running” lol. Temperature has change and it is getter brighter and brighter at 6am.
It’ll be 5:30am outside running very soon!!!! Yayyyyy.

My first #vlm was in 2012. I’d done one 5k race before and got a place in the ballot. The marathon was something I’d wanted to do for years, just as an achievement. I trained up to about 12 miles, didn’t have a clue what I was doing and had no idea about running. It took me over 6 hours to complete and I absolutely loved every second! .
.

Fast forward to 2016 and I’d changed massively as a runner. I’d run consistently for about 2 years, joined a running club, had PBs, a garmin, training plans, race plans, fuel plans. I overtrained and overanalysed. I was exhausted before the race had even begun! I struggled round in 4:28, hated the whole experience and felt immense disappointment afterwards. It took me a while to enjoy running again.

Top tip = let go, enjoy the day, don’t think, just do!
