Long ago, before the birth of mankind, ancient beings discovered a mystical power...a power so great it could destroy worlds. They sacrificed themselves to contain this power...until now. @excisionofficial #paradoxtour

Road trip day six.
...
I made a rather reckless decision deciding to hike the narrows, from the top down, with a 50% chance of rain. When I got to my shuttle location they told us the chance of rain had increased from 20% to 40% overnight. There were 14 people schedules to do the hike, a group of 10, a group of three and me. Everyone except me decided to cancel their shuttle for a refund and try in a day or two. I didn’t have a day or two and decided to go anyway against the driver’s suggestions.
...
Luckily when I got dropped off there was another group of two people that were as stupid as me. The three of us took off together on a nice sunny day. They were going to camp halfway and therefor going at a slower pace. About halfway in I realized I was significantly behind schedule to finish before sunset. I said my goodbyes and started to move as fast as possible to make up time. After two hours I had managed to get myself back on schedule but that’s when it stared to rain.
...
The good news what the canyon was beautiful in the rain. Small waterfalls that are not normally there begin to appear. The bad news is that I’m in a slot canyon and a flashflood would defiantly ruin my day.
...
I again picked up the pace to a full run. I wanted to get out of that canyon as soon as possible. I was halfway though the narrowest section of the canyon and it started to rain even harder. Panicking slightly, I keep moving as fast as I could. Soon after I saw a couple that was coming up from the bottom. I suggested that because of the weather they shouldn’t go any further into the canyon. The three of us turned around and finished the hike soon after, completely drenched.
...
Thankfully I made it out of the canyon safely! I DON’T recommended hiking in the canyon during the rain. Hiking the narrows from the top down was an amazing experience but in hindsight I shouldn’t have done it.

Fishing port of Santa Luzia, I arrived in this charming place randomly on a biking ride 😊 That's what I love most about road tripping, exploring and discovering new places like these 😍
