"How do you get your butt like that?" is the fitness question I hear the most. And before you say it, yes, genetics play a part. Just like a pretty smile or clear skin, there are people born with a genetic booty advantage, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to improve your glutes. Women often turn to cardio to "get a butt," Instead, start with weights. When it comes to toning your glutes, you only need two things: training and dedication—and I mean real dedication. You must train your glutes hard and diligently to get a great response. If you stop every time it gets difficult or whenever it burns, you're not going to get anywhere.
Skip the light weight to build a booty. Your butt gets bigger as it gets stronger, so use heavy weights that limit you to 6-10 reps per set. Need an extra boost of motivation?

Reposting this because it’s still important. It may seem silly I'm posting a picture of Mikey Mouse but it allows me to make a point. "Disney is not where the magic happens. The magic happens at end range" Hugh Murray Dip. MDT.
Many clinicians do not push patients to end range when assessing repeated movements. In my experience with the hundreds of spine patients I've treated and with talking to experts this makes a huge difference.

1) not meeting end range will not allow you to expose relevant lateral components that you may be missing, because sagittal plane has not been truly exhausted

2) it has been well documented for a long time by chiropractic and manual therapy practitioners that end range movements have large physiological effects in changing mechanics, pain and a whole host of factors

3) many clinicians feel uncomfortable moving patients into these positions as they often are painful or uncomfortable due to derangement of the joint being moved. However our confidence and ability to move patients in this manner will ease them. Especially if we know what to look for and how to change approach based on patients response. No movement is wrong because even if symptoms worsen it provides valuable information to further treatment.

5) if you do not feel comfortable with these movements, continue to educate yourself as a clinician and reach out to experts for help. End range movements within derangement (which are very common) create very large rapid changes. Not meeting end range leads to poorer outcomes with patients who would benefit from the changes that occur with these. Not a day goes by where when patients experience rapid reduction and abolisment of symptoms of siatica or cervical radiculopathy and ask me how does this work so quickly? #strengthinevidence
