3 tough ones. I took yesterday off because I’m trying to fight off a sinus infection 🤧and I really did not want to run this morning because I was up most of the night with a terrible calf cramp 😫🤰🏼but I got my run done! #worthit

Well as @wolfpackma’s classes are coming to an end for the Christmas break, I managed to train in my last pad class of the year!
My training journey and what my body has been able to do has changed a lot over my pregnancy. Looking back I found the first trimester the hardest. Whilst understanding that this time was the highest risk, my brain struggled to register any difference as (and I know how lucky I have been), I didn’t have any morning sickness of any kind, no heartburn, and at this point my body was no bigger than usual. Now this in no way means I pushed it or over did it in any way, but I definitely found it to be the most frustrating time.
Last night training at nearly 34 weeks although at a lot slower pace and substituting certain exercises for easier more pregnancy friendly ones, I came away feeling satisfied and very privileged to be in my position of health.
Wow how time has flown over the last 8 months, and although we still have a little bit to go, I can’t wait for the next chapter to begin! 🍼💕 xxx

This mornings eggs, post training session with @pumphp. Using @olliequinntraining’s #warmup as my #workout today - Just had time before the #housemove to nip to @totalfitness and fit in a quick 30 minutes #movement + #mobility based AMRAP - WHY ? 🔥A session like this is a great way to warm my body and increase blood flow (This is a plus for a whole host of #pregnancy related conditions) - 🔥 A slow and focused set of movements paired together requires #concentration, helping to keep the mind calm + focused away from external stress ... (This is how #kettlebells can become like #meditation for me ) 🔥 Opens up the hips/ warms the shoulders + spine - perfect prep for a day of carrying boxes around! 🔥And finally- Allows time to practice #movements and form, as opposed to focusing on the burn ........ this is one area of #fitness most people neglect (Oli thanks for the #inspo🙏🏻)

Some mornings I wake up feeling anxious and pretty rubbish. Not everyday is perfect. To try and lessen the negative energy I’ll stop and take deep breaths. It is hard for me to sit still for 10 minutes anyway and expect to reach a state of thoughtlessness. Hardly happens. For me it is a steady 3-4 minutes, surrounded by noise, a toddler maybe but also mindful breathing which forms calmer and loving thoughts, ones that I’m happy to direct to my cells, my body, my growing baby. Just what I need to feel peaceful and strong again. I may not start flying positive right away but I try to find light in little things and smile. Although I won't be cleared for Physical exercise for a few weeks I'm still working on my spiritual & mental strength which are JUST AS IMPORTANT. Would you agree mamas???

That's what being "Strong to the Core" is all about. If your foundation isnt strong then all the superificial reasons for working out & getting in shape will likely fade away. Lay your foundation the right way and you'll never have to fall into the pressures of how the world sees you. You"ll know you're strong from the Inside Out and can handle ANYTHING (motherhood, pregnancy, & life transitions) that comes your way. Today, if you work out, don’t let fear or guilt be your motivation.
Worked chest/tris in the basement garage if the beach house at 5...not because I’m having a big dinner later (we aren’t) but because I have my best energy through the day when I do. Last night I contemplated skipping...I might have, if it were not so simple to make a way and do it for joy! The voice I hear, both when it’s a little less convenient than the gym, and before my bedtime yoga practice: “you don’t have to, but I think you can”. And usually I do, because I know it fuels my best energy and rest.

Release the anxiety and guilt around food and movement. The body doesn’t respond to deprivation and force-honor and Love is the way. You’ll find it becomes much less of a struggle to do that which nourishes.
And now to drink fresh coffee and watch the sun rise over the water and dunes... 🌅 #savorsabbath Happy holiday! #pumpthebump 6th🌒 #6th🌑 #pregnantnotpowerless

I had every excuse in the book this morning .
👊🏻 I went to bed late so I pressed snooze one too many times this morning 👊🏻 Both kids were up before the sun😴☕️ 👊🏻 Maddie is in rare form and has been in time out twice
👊🏻 Noah is trying to give this pregnant mama a run for her money by literally ripping up toilet paper into tiny pieces and spreading it all over the house 👊🏻 I’m pregnant and hormonal 😜 .
In years past I would have thrown in the towel and probably decided I deserved a donut for all of the crazy drama this morning, but I decided to do something for ME, and take 25 minutes to do a workout! .
Yep! That’s all it took for my mood to be lifted, to gain some much needed energy and to clear my head from the tired Mom fog! .
It is so hard some days but I know that I will feel worse if I don’t do anything! Plus when you have a community of ladies counting on you everyday, it makes showing up that much easier 🤗 .
Ever have days like this? Where it’s only 9 am and you feel like you have an entire days worth of drama on the first 3 hours? That’s okay, because I have my tribe of ladies keeping me motivated, supported and accountable! So BRING IT Thursday 💪🏻
