Beltless Skwaaats

Great return to squatting this week.
On Sunday I did some Dynamic Effort to prime the motor pattern and get used to a little weight on my back again. I've Dynamic Effort to be an excellent first session back from injury. Once your speed has returned, your strength will come back much faster than if you just started squatting normally.
Today, I wanted to stay beltless to keep the intensity relatively low as I tested out where my quads were at. And turns out I had a huge beltless PR in me. 605x2 up from 585x1. Always take a few lighter intensity variations when coming back from injury before slowly going back to the technique where you lift the most weight.

225 for a set of 10 I couldn't hit the last 2... @thetrainingtaro I took like a 5 second break and finished It though!

I’ve been using some cheap preworkout for a long time just because it gave me a boost of energy, but honestly it sucked so I️ decided to try #c4preworkout after hearing really good things about it. I️m going to try it for the first time tonight and I️m going to judge it based on taste, mixing, energy, and how it effects my digestion (most preworkouts really bloat my stomach). Cooking for one since Katie is in Rome and Phoebe is having a sleep over. Schedule has been nuts so I had to get in a big meal for dinner so that I can keep waking up at 210 during this recomp! Now if I can only figure out this laundry situation...
•12 ounces of 99% ground turkey
•3.5 cups of black beans
•Random green/red pepper and onion mix that doesn’t count

Powerlifting Day 2: BENCH DAY. .
It’s been an exhausting week for both me and the partner, but I’m excited to see what we throw up on the bar today starting off
Sometimes long, crappy weeks make for insane lifts
But sometimes they make for crappy lifts .
