I have been contemplating the inversion today. This dirty cough-inducing fog laying over the valley of Salt Lake City making me feel like crap. Research has even shown a spike in suicides around the inversions and doctors tell women we should plan our pregnancy to avoid the inversions (is that even possible?😂). Winter brings cold spells and a pressure systems that put a lid on the valleys and cause this bad trapped air. That stagnant air means particulates don’t mix out. Instead, they hover low in the valleys causing this heavy gross smog. 🌫🌫🌫🌫🤢
I have been thinking about how we can have internal inversions with these three elements as well of: low temps, pressure, stagnation= unhealthy inversion.
In me I can see when my thinking goes down (low temp) and I start play limiting beliefs in my head and repeat sad/angry/poor me thoughts, then I add on to that the stress of life (pressure) those can cause me to get stagnant in taking action and practicing self care. These three qualities make my insides feel like this inversion. 😵
So the question is what can I do to get rid of my internal pollution. Just like the external pollution, I need to watch the pollution I am producing. I need to catch those limiting beliefs and thought patterns that make me feel like crap. I need to practice not putting so much pressure on myself and lastly I need to be consistent with doing the practices of self care that support my growth so I don’t get stagnant.
There are somethings about inversions we can not change. For example in the winter we can’t control the temperature or the atmospheric pressure. But we can control how much pollutants we are producing and what we are doing to remove the pollutants like air purifiers.
Just like in us. We can’t get rid of all negative thinking and we can’t get rid of the chaos of life. But we can change how we respond to it. We can participate in our thinking, to put out less bad thoughts, add more positive thoughts and we can learn to manage our stress better.
Can we learn to monitor our inner & outer “air” quaility so we can help participate in keeping our internal and external environments as healthy and clear as possible?

Επιτυχία είναι να περνάς από τη μια αποτυχία στην άλλη χωρίς να χάνεις το κουράγιο σου! 🥂 #positivethinking #quote

Watch yourself over the next few days. How much time do you spend reinforcing the story around shit in your life you DON'T want? How often do you bitch about your job? Your body? Your relationship? Keep it up, and you'll find more and more evidence to support that shitty story. Here's a tip: write out a different story. One of courage. One of surmounting obstacles. One of change and growth. And, then look for THAT evidence. It feels a fuck-ton better. Trust.

A sign that it is worth investing more of your time is if you feel more energized and motivated to be better! LIKE if you agree!
