I've been struggling like mad to stockpile work today as I've got a busy week coming up but man oh man am I struggling. I've never been a fast writer and working to deadlines is something I am both excellent and terrible at, in that I never fail to meet them but the process of doing so is a mess and a half. Just one of the many joys of trying to function while managing mental illness, social life and a lack of personal space/freedom. It's a struggle, but it's mine. I'm grateful for all the bullshit that clogs my path because it makes my accomplishments even sweeter. It's not even about reaching some mystical end where everything is flat, because that would be boring. It's just about conquering each hill as it comes and feeling it all without restraint.
Now to watch an episode of Mindhunter and then write another three thousand words before bed. #NaNoWriMo

2 Slumber
you and i
we're a mystery
so is he
and so is she
do i exist
do you
is this a dream
are we human beings
trapped in bodies of the obscene
what is the moon
what is the sun
if i stay with you
will we be forever

I’m thinking about changing my theme a little. just experimenting on my account I guess #poemsporn #poetry #differenttheme #words #writersofinstagram #poetsofinstagram
"Amongst all my favorite things, I love dead flowers.
I adore the broken promises and the crisp crumblings of withered petals. I admire their soft and putrid nature. The vulgar smell to its deceased face rotting in my flowerpot. I yank the flowers from its home, from the enriched soil that made it blossom and showcase it as a prize. Like a man's pride it will die over time, like a woman's mind it will flourish in its old age. Weary and enslaved by age, those flowers, those sweet grotesque flowers, are my melody."
