One day I would like to have a painting of me in one of my many historical dresses. Until this day, I can only show you more photos, today fitting the motto #art, day 21 of #victorianfebruary created by @americanduchess
It reminds me of a painting I did see a long time ago, cannot remember the artist.

What women used to wear under their dresses, you can imagine the tube now a days should this fashion came back. They do say fashion is cyclical but let’s hope not this one #petticoat #periodunderwear #bodyshape #periodfashion #perioddress #turnofthecentury #underwearset #bustle #hoops #fashionvictim

I'm currently working on this dress. I took this random photo in a Moravian château many years ago, because I really liked the dress. Now as I'm finally working on it, I found that the lady's name is mine as well: Clara. We simply needed to meet 😎

Grab a mask and enjoy the festivities 🎉. It's mesmerizing to see one of our gowns at the magical Carnival of Venice! A huge thank you to Angela Zhang for sharing her photos with us! 👏 #VCGownStyle085

Rosaline Costume Haul
Show: Still Star Crossed
Character: Lady Rosaline
.
Still Star Crossed was a series that ran for one season (unfortunately) and told the tale of what happened after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. It is a beautiful and diverse show with stellar costumes and characters.
.
So right off the bat you can tell what house Rosaline is from just by her over arching color scheme. Blue. It’s everywhere. Just about every dress she wears is a shade of blue. Which I actually love.
The costumes done for the show are absolutely breathtaking in all honesty. The detail, the shapes and the cuts are all well done.
We first see our fair lady in her maids uniform as she works in her family’s home. There is then a drastic change as she made a lady of the house so that she may marry her enemy.
Each dress follows the fashion of the show setting (though perhaps not of the historical time period) and suit the changes the character goes through and her situation.
My favorite dress would have to be 11 and 3. I like three mainly because I’m just a sucker for black on Black detailed fabric. It give an allusion of been plain black but upon further inspection the fabric is rich and detailed. 11 is simply gorgeous with its gold ok blue detailing. I wish we were able to see more of the skirt.
There isn’t really a costume I dislike here, I like them all but I have some problems with the cut of the waist on 7. .
Q: what costumes should I do next?
