The other night I cried like I haven’t cried in 5 years. It was hormonally based, but my feelings were valid all the same. I needed a shoulder to cry on, so I did what I have done since I can remember. I ran to my horse, he was there waiting at the fence line with his telepathic powers. l balled my eyes out, told him how unfair life is and miraculously like every time before he somehow put everything in perspective for me and made it all better. More people need to feel the love of a good horse! I feel so fortunate to have had so many in my life. 🐎

“Looking out at the lake one could believe that the Flood had never ended. If one is lost on the water, any hill is Ararat. And below is always the accumulated past, which vanishes but does not vanish, which perishes and remains.”— Marilynne Robinson.

Pacific Northwest #sunsets make all the clouds and gray of #winter worth it. Love the reflection of those trees 🌲💖
