Video 3 We queued up for almost an hour just to see the only baby panda at the research centre it looked like a rat and it was in an incubator. Baby pandas are born without fur they grow their fur after ten days 🐼 🌏 🇨🇳 *

Today was so incredible. Seeing these beauties in real life, and learning the amazing work being done at the centre was inspiring. Unfortunately, we couldn't justify $400 (each) to hold one, but this was enough.
Getting onto the Chengdu hype with a visit to see the Pandas 🐼 King Fu Panda you are my new favourite animal #Chengdu #Panda #PandaResearchCentre #Bamboo
Oh hello darling little baby panda! We visited the panda delivery room today and saw the tiniest, cutest little baby pandas in humidicribs. This little bub wasn't the smallest - we were so lucky to see the newborn twins that arrived last week and they were as big as my hand, and all white and fuzzy. What a morning 🐼💕💕
Did you know giant pandas spend 16 hours per day looking for and eating bamboo? They each eat up to 40kg of the stuff per day! They have a cool sixth finger called a 'pseudo thumb' with which they use the grip the bamboo with.
More than half the day is spent eating because the energy content of bamboo is low and pandas digestive tracts are very short meaning absorption of nutrition is poor. They only digest 17% of their food, unlike other herbivores which generally digest 80%! For these reasons Giant Pandas also limit activity to a minimum and sleep the rest of the day - in between producing up to 20kg of poo per day! S&Jx
