Make healthy snack choices. I have made a habit of taking a couple minutes at least once a week to cut up some raw veggies for snacking. Convenience really is one of@the deciding factors in the choices we make on a day to day basis and that definitely includes food choices.
I guarantee that if you take a couple minutes to make this a snacking option, you’ll cut out other unnecessary snacks.
I usually add carrots to this also along with broccoli if I have something on hand for dipping.
I’ll be posting some paleo vegan dip recipes... so many yummy options outside of typical salad dressings and dips! 🥒🥕🥦🌶

-paleo turkey egg roll in a bowl. 👇🏻
(Organic ground turkey cooked in coconut aminos, sesame oil, fresh ginger, + chili garlic paste. Then added chopped cabbage & carrots until cooked soft. Topped with chopped green onions & sesame seeds.)
-harissa lime chicken salads with oven roasted red peppers & feta.👇🏻
(Marinated organic chicken in harissa, juice of 1 lime, paprika & salt n pepper. Seared in a skillet for 3-5 mins each side & roasted in the oven at 400 until cooked through. Put on top of mixed greens, topped with oven roasted bell peppers & feta.)
-paleo asian chopped chicken salads.👇🏻
(Marinated organic chicken breast in coconut aminos, garlic & ginger. Roasted in the oven at 400 until cooked through. Shredded & added to chopped cabbage, carrots, romaine, green onion & sliced bell peppers. Topped with almond slivers, & sesame seeds. Made a vinaigrette of sesame oil, olive oil, coconut aminos, honey, fresh ginger, apple cider vinegar & chili garlic paste.)
Meal prep is always therapeutic. ✅ Especially in a city life where eating out is so common and accessible, I like to have the peace of mind that at least an x number of meals I’m having are home cooked.

Week 4 dinner - Basil Salmon Meatballs over zoodles (zucchini noodles) with red cabbage and yellow squash. Still wanna work on the flavor profile of these meatballs this week, but tonight was a start! I love to experiment with different spices and I rarely salt anything anymore. Not against salt, lol, I'm just usually close to my sodium counts with everything I consume throughout the day and also I'm loving learning to appreciate all types of spices! My taste buds and cravings have changed since the start of the #ma30day challenge. Lately, too, I have been wanting to come up with my own recipes for the most part, so I'll look at a bunch of different ideas and recipes, get a decent understanding of what flavors pair well together, then just play. I'm still a newbie in the kitchen, but having fun learning! Also, realizing I totally forgot my asparagus, but those counts are in these macros. New recipe this morning, this recipe is high in fat and fibre, 2 of our favourite words 😍 here’s how we made this creation.
Steam broccoli til tender and set aside
Slice and cook your favourite bacon till cooked to your liking, we like ours on the crispier side.
Once bacon is cooked, add steamed broccoli to the bacon and bacon fat and add in 25g butter, mix over a low heat till combined.
Serve over a bed of baby spinach leaves with half an avocado, this meal has enough fats and fibre to keep you going for a few hours and then some! #breakfastbroccoli #ketobreakfast #avocadorose #ketomadeeasy #ketoforlife

Week 4 lunch - I wasn't ready to depart with the stuffed waffles just yet, so, for lunch I'm having a chicken stuffed waffle with a creamy, spicy maple mustard sauce and avocado, and a salad on the side! I'll switch my salad game up for dinner. I've been doing a lot of the same flavors/veggies on my salads, but I really like the combo and they're so easy to throw together - 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 zucchini, 3 radishes, 1/4 red bell pepper. Sometimes I'll mix other things in, too, but these have been my go-to lately! Also, slightly burnt my waffle today...tried using less water to see how it would turn out and, well, that's how it turned out, lol. Q: Can’t I just look at your MyFitnessPal account to get ideas for recipes and meals?
A: You can, but I’ll tell you right now there’s nothing too interesting there. Plus, when you’re just starting out, you’re likely to just be bogged down and overwhelmed with tracking and weighing an entire recipe.

Instead, keep things SIMPLE especially at first!!!
Lean protein, veggies, a healthy carb and a small portion of fat at each meal. Set it up so that you could pick each food group up off the plate on its own and not mess with the other food groups.

Chipotle Beef Chili- this is a 13 quart @staub_usa Dutch oven- FULL of meaty goodness! I’ve literally never made this much chili at once. And it alllll sold... chipotles, ground beef, fire roasted tomatoes, shredded zucchini, cumin, cilantro and allll the New Mexico chili powder slow cooked over night.
