If I wasn’t on the road today, I would definitely make a breakfast that looks like this and tastes like pizza. Yes, that’s right, I said tastes like pizza. I’ve been making omelets with peppers, onions, a bit of raw cheese and a boatload of thyme and oregano, aka the essence of pizza! 🍕 I’m going to make a spice blend with that exact name, “Essence of Pizza,” can you taste it or what?? 🍕🤤🤙

Well, I think it’s safe to say that #ToastTuesday has quickly become my favorite day of the week.

As probably the laziest gal on planet, I will forever & always deliver on foods with the least amount of prep. Ain’t nobody got time for cooking, ya know? 💁🏻‍♀️

We all know how to make avo toast here, I didn’t get real fancy — all I did was crush some leftover almonds and sprinkle them on top.

Ieri è stata una di quelle giornate....da ricordare! Se avete dato un'occhiata alle mie stories ve ne sarete accorti 😅 Il mio primo cooking show a tutti gli effetti: avevo già preparato piatti in pubblico ma mai con 80 persone di fronte, proiettata su un mega schermo e con mille occhi puntati addosso 🤤

L'ansia iniziale si è presto stemperata nella gioia di cucinare e raccontare - devo ammettere che mi sono proprio divertita un sacco - e i finger food di assaggio sono andati letteralmente a ruba! Insomma, oggi un bel biscottino me lo merito proprio...che dite? 🤗 Ho scelto questi, morbidi morbidi, leggeri e profumati al bergamotto.

Approposito...lo sapevate che il bergamotto cresce solo ed esclusivamente in Calabria, e nello specifico in 60-70 km di costa della provincia Reggina? E’ un marchio DOP ed è uno dei tanto simboli della splendida biodoversità che la nostra Terra ci regala. Ma quanto siamo food-fortunati noi italiani? 😍

Granola is always a good choice once its homemade and refined sugar free. Its jam packed with magnesium, zinc, selenium, omega 3fatty acids, fibre, vitamin E and B vitamins whilst being rich in antioxidant phytochemicals and provides a good source of plant protein. This recipe is simple.
1cup each pumpkin, sunflower, linseeds
1cup glutenfree oats
1cup chopped mixed nuts of choice
1/2 cup organic coconut oil
Pinch himalayan salt
1tb spoon ground cinnamon
1 tsp mixed spice
Handful whole almonds (activated nuts)

Melt the coconut oil.
Mix all other ingredients together and toss to coat in the melted oil
Spread on greased baking sheets
Toast in oven for 12-15 mins 160° fan, careful not to burn
*Store in airtight jar for up to 4wks
*Delicious served with grated fresh ginger and apple or berries and yoghurt or kefir. *almonds and hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts work quite well *Can use buckwheat or puffed quinoa or millet instead of oats if preferred

‘I don’t eat pasta’ 🤔🤔

This is something I’m very used to hearing....pasta, rice and bread are the most common foods I hear people avoiding as they leave them feeling bloated and uncomfortable. It’s something that a lot of people think they just have to put up with (including myself during my 20’s when I was told I had I.B.S and struggled to eat many foods...pasta included).

But that really shouldn’t be the case...The only reason you should end up feeling really bloated and uncomfortable after a meal (for the most part) is if we overeat... I think we are all familiar with the post Christmas meal bloat! .

Avoiding certain foods for whatever reason will only strengthen the emotional attachment to some foods being ‘good’ and ‘bad’. If you do experience bloating after eating foods like this it is more likely that your gut isn’t functioning optimally and is something you should discuss with a professional.
