I love kick starting my week with a nutritious and filling breakfast after a very busy weekend where I attended a few shows and cannot believe the claims some brands make but I am sure this will change in the future

Vitamin D (sometimes known as the 'sunshine vitamin') plays a role in every system in the body, affecting your skin, brain health, bones, blood sugar, cholesterol, hormone balance, joint health, and MANY more...
🌞 Instead of being sun safe we need to be more sun SMART.
Let’s say it’s summer and you DO get out in the sun regularly. You should be fine, right? Not so fast. If you’re wearing sunscreen or covering up with protective clothing, you’re not making much vitamin D either. Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 pretty effectively blocks UVB rays, reducing vitamin D production by 95%. Sun exposure on arms and legs for approximately 30 minutes between 10am and 2pm is recommended. However, people with darker skin require longer sun exposure to achieve the same vitamin D synthesis.
If you are unsure, you can get your healthcare practitioner to run a Vitamin D test to check your levels and see if you may need to supplement to boost your levels.
