This picture is from the day after Christmas. Thinking today how quickly these days are going. Someday I will look back and wish to be needed so much. I will wish for the little hands to hold and the pitter patter feet. I will remember the great big hugs and some days needing all the patience I can find. It is hard to find “me time” or date nights, but it is only a season and it is going so quickly. -

On Sundays, we brunch {by the fire} No shame in teaching her my basics ways early, who’s with me!? 💁🏻‍♀️❤️#StarbucksTime #ShopTillWeDrop #MamasGirl #MommyandMe
Ski trees mean it’s still appropriate to blast Christmas music, right? 🙃 #VisitTelluride
An Introduction.

Hello friends! I met a lot of creatives this past weekend I’m sure are dying to know who I am and what I do. 😜 Seriously though, an introduction now and then can’t hurt. I’m a mommy blogger, which come to find out at @thrivecreativecon are rare and people aren’t fond of our breed of creative. 😂 I get it. As a feminist, I could see how the role of mother has become convoluted and something that, in the last few decades, is synonymous with a loss of identity. I doesn’t help my cause by calling myself “Jack’s Mom.’ Another down grade this day and age. Here’s the thing. I’m a pretty strong woman... on several different levels. I birthed two boys on pitocin and without an epidural - if you’ve had babies, you most likely know what this means. (I should have gotten the epidural 😂😂) I work three jobs right now. Yeah... three. I’m doing what I love most, and that’s creating a space for mothers to know it’s okay to be vulnerable. Being a mommy blogger means I get to share all the amazing things I do with my 👶 children and The Dad. I also have a solid group of women, so many actually, (you all) that support me on my hardest days. How lucky am I?! So yes, I’m a mommy blogger. I’m also a writer and poet. I’m a political activist that believes women have choices and that our future needs to drastically changed. I love love love love books. Their smell, the look, reading them. Also, dinosaurs. A childhood obsession I never outgrew. I love talking to new people and I love being a helper. At the same time I’m very opinionated. So now it’s your turn. ❤️

Did You Know?
Crochet patterns are written for right handed people only. I didn't know this and when I interviewed Mandy from @crochetbyredagape she told me how she had to learn this the hard way as she is left handed. Check out more of the interview on the blog #linkinprofile .

DTLA is known for their dope rooftops. One of my faves: The Standard. 👌 #thestandarddtla
Can someone come and please decorate my tv stand shelves because I have no idea what to put on them. I threw a bunch of random stuff on there just for this photo. 🤣
And yes, I need some birch or fire wood logs for that #hearthandhand lantern still.

When you are trying to get a cute family selfie and you get these instead 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ (the sassy tongue in photo number 2 lol). Love my life with these two even when things may not always be “picture perfect” 🖤

Being an adult is hard. Anything from going to the dentist — which I finally did for the first time in 6 years this week — to taxes. I always thought it would just click, but somehow I'm 29 and still have no idea what I'm doing. On the bright side though, I've still never had a cavity and my dentist gave me a ton of free organic fruit. //
