Yesterday I have treined HARD , I went to sleep at 5 pm and woke up at 6 A.M ... my body needed 13 hours to regenerate. Even my muscles sore a LOT I am feeling stronger and beter than yesterday.it was worth it!! NOPAINNOGAIN

It’s a day or two after you work out and your muscles are sore. What causes this soreness is a condition called delayed-onset muscle soreness or DOMS. A common belief is that the soreness is due to lactic acid build up in our muscles. The concept is based on the fact that during intense exercise such as weigh lifting the muscles make energy for contraction anaerobically-without oxygen, which causes lactic acid production. Aerobic exercises, in contrast such as walking produce energy using oxygen with little lactic acid production. The belief that lactic acid causes DOMS has been proven false since lactic acid produced during exercise is cleared shortly after you finish, long before soreness sets in. Instead, the soreness is caused by microscopic tears in your muscle tissue. Don’t worry that’s fine, it is an important step to building stronger bigger muscles. When these tiny tears in the muscle occur, it causes swelling and your body sends an influx of white blood cells, prostaglandins and other nutrients to repair the damage. This swelling and inflammation can build up for days which is why your muscle soreness may be worse on day two or three after your workout. DOMS is a natural occurrence to building more muscle. If you want to avoid that soreness, start your exercise program slowly and ramp up slowly. Also, studies have shown massage within a few hours after working out can reduce soreness by as much as 30%.
