I sent off a little sample package today to a beautiful lady! 💕

When things don't go your way, how do you do a positive reframe? I'll be posting about resilience this week, and this is my real-life experience to kick it off.
My husband has the flu, so this is me finding the silver lining: the lovely lobby of the Cobblestone Hotel in Paxton. My "home office" for the next couple of days. Can't say I'll mind having an indoor pool, fitness center, and lounge a few steps away from my desk!
Was it a hassle to pack up? Sure. Would I rather be at home? Yep. The week will flow better by focusing forward instead of fretting about what can't be changed. In the meantime, I'll explore the nooks and crannies of the hotel as a potential site for a future retreat. Free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast, free cookies in the evening, sweet meeting room. Only 30 minutes from Champaign-Urbana.

Warrior mindset: having the courage to ask what the lesson is. Taking responsibility for the choices we make and determining what the guiding intention is behind it.
It's tough but that way you waste less time in excuses and can keep digging up what feelings you're seeking healing and strengthening around.
Plus you can direct your awesome energy towards things that move you forward, making you more efficient and strong.
Oh HELLS yeah.

I just got home from the gym and was thinking about the progress I've personally made physically, mentally, spiritually over the last couple years and especially over the last 3 months.
I went back and asked myself what was driving me to keep pushing, progressing and building a foundation for personal greatness. The abstract answer I recieved was that it was "the mirror of the world around me". The mirror being the "C" word, #COMPARISON.
OH NO! I have been comparing myself to others as much as I have to my own progress and I've never been happier. I took me back because I keep hearing that to develop personally and really progress you should NEVER compare yourself to others because it's POISON.
Ahh, there's that word never. Anytime I hear it I want to do whatever I'm never supposed to do. So why had comparing myself put me in a state of drive and deep self appreciation, compassion, and intention?

Dig my short 1 minute video below and type and "i" if you feel me. If you're so inclined, tell me if you are motivated by comparison and an example of it. I'd love to hear.

NAILING this Manifesting thang! Literally just walk out of my home office saying “I need some brandy flowers for my desk “opened the front door to go get the mail and this beauty was sitting on my front porch. I have the greatest virtual assistant ever @mazzyorban . Manifesting becomes super easy when you have done the mindset work to make it so.

Here is one of the "Notes to Self" I mentioned in an earlier post. For the new week, start a new habit of writing down the positives throughout your day. Make a little self-love note of what works well, what goes right, why you love what you do, etc. Write down the points of light that will guide you through dark times. Memory can be shaky, so a treasury of light in your pocket or purse is a flashlight for your soul.
When the storms hit, you'll have a record of bright spots to remind you of what's important in life. You matter. You make a difference. You do many things brilliantly.
Getting out of bed, getting dressed, and doing what you need to do counts as brilliant. Drinking water/coffee/tea without dribbling down your shirt counts, too! Some of us need sippy cups. Give yourself credit for all those things you take for granted. There are people out there who don't take them for granted.
Make a record of every nice comment or compliment you receive. These will warm your heart in moments of struggle. They'll help you see that the struggle is temporary. Sure, it feels endless and relentless, but it always passes sooner or later. You survive the storm by accepting its existence and conserving energy until it spends its last lightning bolt.
Find the light and let it lead you. You can't control the world or its reaction to you, but you can control how you think about the world. Email me for the pdf file to print.

Carry your list with you to pull out and read whenever your peace is threatened.
Keeping a positive outlook is a mindset skill. You can control thoughts even when you can't control the world around you.

The weekends shouldn’t be the our only “re-energizing” days. In my opinion, any day can be full of things that re-energize you or help you feel rested by shifting your mindset, intentions, and communication style. I’m not saying I walk around with 100% of my energy every day... I just know the power of intention. A few small practices can easily set the tone for what you need most throughout your day.

I used to look at my weekends as the only time I had to relax and decompress outside of the office. While part of the weekend is glorious by not having to be in the office from 9-5, there’s something to be said about finding time and events throughout the week that energize you!

There’s a way to feel just as excited about Monday-Thursday as you are for the weekends!
