How about this guy? Sixth-grade music class for beginners, and he’s rocking a Christmas concert? Yes indeed. #middleschool #baritone #mygrandson #itsinthegenes

So I kind of took a big step tonight, and I’m not sure how my brain is reacting.
I stepped food in NAJ, the school I spent two years in. From just wanting to fit in, to trying to impress anyone into being my friend? These were the worst years of my life.. I came there as a new student. It’s a small school, so there’s cliques... and these cliques- you won’t fit into unless you’ve been there and raised with everyone else.
I was 13 I believe when I started there. I got a boyfriend from my school and I thought he was cool, until he started rumors about me. After that, I was the “slut” or I had dated everyone. I won’t go into details on how much more was said, but I pretty much just lost all confidence and my friends weren’t my friends.
I started to earn back my friends by just not talking to anyone, but then they wouldn’t talk to me when I wanted them to. The bullying only continued, from names to being hit threatened or pushed. I had nasty notes in my locker, I had nasty things being said behind me in class, I had boys in Highschool yelling names at me in the hallway. But none of that affected me as much as the adults not believing me. If someone did something to me- they made ME sit in the office alone or go back to class and deal with it. All I wanted was to fit in and have friends, until I didn’t want that.
I didn’t want to be around anyone, even my family because I just had overwhelming thoughts of not wanting them to know how I was feeling. I didn’t want to go here or live here anymore, even just to live at all. I spent every morning crying because i didnt want to go to school and deal with it, and every night crying because of what had been done to me.
It’s been almost four years, and I cried today in that school because I went through so much there. After I left? The bullies erased my brick (we made bricks with our names on the wall in middle school).. they didn’t care when I was there and wanted me gone.
I made so many mistakes in my youth. Big ones. Only one teacher stood by me though, Mrs.Trott.
