☮️ Wellbeing Wednesdays ☮️ 🍁🍂 Winter has landed, no need to hibernate. Come and have an hour of Soulful Hatha Yoga to boost your midweek mood. 🍂🍁 ☯️ Hatha yoga is suitable for all and builds upon a series of physical flowing postures and breathing techniques to help bring the mind, body and breath into synch. Soulful, stimulating and soothing. ☯️ The first half of the practice is a energising, yang, warming Flow that builds up to a peak posture. Great to warm the soul on a winters night. ☯️ The second half of the practice is a Yin based relaxing, soothing, restoring flow with the aim of rest and grounding. 🕉 Finished off with a dose of guided mindful meditation to help bring about peace and relaxation in the mind, body and soul. 🕉 The session is led by candlelight, aromatherapy and Soulful beats. All abilities welcome, sessions are tailored and modified where needed.

saturday vibes - i hope everyone has had a great week! i finally met up with my best friend yesterday, and we went to dinner and a game! life has been pretty busy lately, but i learned last night (or was reminded, rather) that we need to take time and just simply relax and not stress every so often. things may be demanding our attention, but it is important for our mental health for us to find sources of mental freedom - stay free, my loves

This week I was supposed to be at work but because of unfortunate circumstances, we had a week off. At first I was truly saddened and really didn't know what to do with myself because I love my job and am used to committing myself to it and other people each and every week👊 But it turned out to be one of the most necessary weeks I could've had. I slowed down💫This week, I did whatever I wanted to do, what felt right. I grounded myself in who I was and took time to know what it was like again to spend time with myself AND enjoy it. I wasn't taking care of other people or children (which I love to do), and I conscientiously made the effort to take care of myself✨ I took baths. I made time each day to do whatever form of exercise I wanted to do. I did yoga. I read books. I watched tv if I wanted to. I made sure that I took the time to put healthy things in my body and enough of them to give me energy to do the things I wanted to do. I pet my dogs and talked to my mom🐾 I organized and shopped, even bought myself some nice things💃Sometimes in life, especially if you're a nurturer or a healer, we forget about ourselves along the way. It's not a bad thing, it just means you have so much to give!💕 but sometimes and especially if we are givers, which most of us are, we must conscientiously remind ourselves that we need and deserve time to reconnect with ourselves. To nurture and love ourselves💆 Sometimes I get nervous to slow down. I'm afraid I'm not giving enough or being enough. But this was the first time that the effects of self care really resonated with me. I spent time with myself, I ENJOYED it (which I think sometimes we're scared we might not), and I feel more grounded than I have in a long time. I took care of myself and now I feel I can go back to caring for others. It's the classic, you can't take care of others unless you take care of yourself, and it's true. You DESERVE just as much love as the kids and people and world you are caring for. You DESERVE to show yourself you love yourself because you are wonderful for all that you do🌈🌼🌞🍦
I wish I could work with these charities 24/7 as they do such amazing work and I believe in them wholeheartedly. Volunteering for Pets as Therapy makes my heart happy, especially when run in conjunction with MIND and these beautiful doggos! Today was all about mental health awareness for young people and Delia, the fox red Labrador & Lily, the mini Dachshund, did a fantastic job at cuddle therapy 💛💙 #oneofthegreatestgiftsyoucangiveisyourtime #petsastherapy #mind #patdog #therapydog #mentalhealthawareness
