Gula adalah nama untuk KARBOHIDRAT yang rasanya manis.

Gula yang paling sering kita temukan dalam makanan biasanya adalah sukrosa, glukosa, fruktosa, dan galaktosa.
Di dalam tubuh, sukrosa terhidrolisis menjadi gula sederhana fruktosa dan glukosa. Gula lainnya termasuk maltosa dari GANDUM MALT dan LAKTOSA dari SUSU. Nah, lho.
Kelebihan gula menyebabkan obesitas, diabetes, penyakit kardiovaskular, demensia, dan kerusakan gigi. 🙂

WHO sejak 2003 sudah memberikan bukti bahwa asupan minuman manis (TERMASUK JUS BUAH) meningkatkan risiko obesitas karena menambah asupan energi secara keseluruhan.

Jadi apa dong pengganti gula kalau kita pengen yang manis2?
Pengganti gula saat ini yg paling alami adalah STEVIA.

Perhatikan label pada makanan, jika masih mengandung ‘nama lain’ dari gula diatas, berarti sebenarnya nggak bebas gula, tuh.

This was the picture of myself last year that made me want to change stuff. It didn't matter how much I prepped and thought I was pretty.. I was so puffy, I never was okay with myself.

⏩ 7° Dia do Desafio ⏪

Hoje voltei ao Plano B do desafio, ou seja, estou em casa! 😎
.
Verduras, legumes, carnes, café, leite de coco, oleaginosas, tudo isso eu já consumo normalmente no meu dia-a-dia. O que está sendo um pouco desconfortável é não poder consumir creme de leite, queijo e chocolate (nem amargo) nesse dia.
.
Passei bem (e na linha! 💪) o dia todo. Agora à noite marido e filha quiseram comer sanduíche e acompanhei, pedi o meu sem pão. Mas veio com o queijo, que eu comi (no desafio eu não poderia consumir queijo hoje). Tudo bem, como diz Dr. Souto: "O bom não deve ser inimigo do melhor!".
.
A gente tenta fazer o melhor, mas não joga a toalha só porque não conseguiu fazer tudo perfeito.
.
Amanhã mais uma semana começando, poucos dias para o Natal e Ano Novo, ainda dá tempo de cuidar da alimentação até as comemorações. Não desiste! Você consegue! Vem comigo! 👊☺

Day 7 Zero Carb Chicken Wing Thing was sticky and saucy and awesome.
I mixed sesame oil, soy sauce, chili flakes, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar to make a glaze. I thickened with a tiny sprinkle of xanthan gum. Sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions (which I realize have a carb or two, but I am totally okay with it). This rounds out my Zero Carb Chicken Wing Thing. I started, expecting 5 days to be difficult as I love and crave vegetables. But after 5 days, the variety of wing flavours kept things interesting, and I went another 2 days for a total of 7. And as it turns out, I can live without vegetables. I don’t think keto, or any other way of eating for that matter, is sustainable for me without veg, but I’m still glad I stepped outside my comfort zone and experimented this week.
Weigh in results and final thoughts to come tomorrow morning.
Full disclosure: I think I could totally go for zero carb nothin but wings until the new year, but I’m heading out on a mini trip to Toronto with my sister on Monday and don’t want to bust her dinner reservations.

#sundaysupper is a Bell’s Mill mini #ham from my hometown of #WebsterCity (picked one up when my dad was in the hospital a couple weeks ago), and it’s every bit as good as I remember. I studded it with some cloves before warming it up in the oven.
