Helllo there everyone and happy Fridayy! Just got done training and wanted to share my 3 tips on how to properly perform smith machine lateral step ups! Better form = better results in better time!

1️⃣ Do not go to heavy, your body weight plus the tension of the smith machine will be enough if your new to weight training! CONTRACTION & CONTROLLING the weight is what is more important than just trying to throw around more weight! I personally only throw up 20-30lbs of weight on the bar- plus the bar weighs around 20lbs but that constant tension of the smith machine makes it feel SO much heavier😅 2️⃣ DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE MOMENTUM!!! 🙅🏻‍♀️ Keep the move slow an controlled! Your foot that taps the floor is not meant to push you back up- it is to simply tap your toes on the ground to help you perform a full range of motion! I like to keep a slight bend in my knee on the foot that touches the floor to keep the tension in my glutes, hammies and quads throughout this entire movement! Do not push off that foot your only cheating yourself and your own progress !! 3️⃣ Brace your core and BREATHE! Before starting the movement brace your core and breathe in, when you reach the top exhale and repeat! Your core is what will help you with stability and keeping correct form through out the entire movement. Happy booty building ladies 😛🍑

When I first got into fitness and even before; I use to watch YouTube videos everyday made by people who inspired me to start my journey. I dreamed of lifting in the same iconic gyms they did. Not only did that happen this week but it was better than I could have ever imagined. I walked into The Mecca and saw Arnold himself, casually doing abs while talking to Sylvester Stallone. I looked up and saw Sheena Jayne walk by me during her prep for the Arnold. I PR’d my deadlift at Barbell Brigade on the same platforms that I watched so many of my inspirations PR theirs. This trip was a dream. This trip has motivated me unlike any other. This trip was once in a lifetime and it’s all thanks to you. 🖤✨

Issa #flashbackfriday & I’m back with another comparison. As I have said before, my legs have been a pain in the butt to grow. No definition, no strength, nada! Until a few months ago I started to really focus on my legs & have been VERY determined to grow them!! It’s not a HUGE difference. But any progress makes me absolutely happy!! I’m pushing weight I never thought I’d ever do, i’m growing. I’m unstoppable at this point. I’m proud but not satisfied.
