As I progress on my Wellness Journey, I’m always looking for new dishes to try.

This was sooo good!
It’s sweet potato gnocchi in a rosemary apple cider sauce with onions and sliced apples.

What are emotions?
They are feelings such as love, anger, joy, fear or sadness.
Emotions and feelings are how we, as humans, get our particular needs met.
If we are in pain, and aren’t able to share that, it might result in developing thoughts and beliefs that will have us becoming stagnant and not moving forward in our life!
I loved what Doreen Virtue said in the Power of Positivity, “your feelings are your signals of deep truths inside of you. They are the language of your soul and you need to listen to them”. AFT can help you do that!

So you’re on a diet...
You lose a few pounds here, a few inches there, & start thinking “okay, this isn’t so bad. I’m kinda hungry, but at least my pants are getting looser.”
But then, the progress stops. 🧐
❌MYTH: “Wow my body must be adapting to less food; time to cut some more calories!”
✅TRUTH: Your body IS adapting, but NOT in the positive way you’re thinking!
Our bodies operate with a scarcity mindset. When you drastically restrict calories over a lengthy period of time, instead of using that fuel for other bodily functions (like burning fat!), your body wants to store it up because it thinks it’s starving. 😧 Your metabolism s l o w s down, causing you to burn less calories at rest; thus, no more weight loss.
So, there’s that. 😑🤔

Cutting calories will work initially, yes. But it’s not a long-term weight solution. I mean, have you ever thought, “Wow, this diet is something I’m gonna do forever. I feel great & definitely not restricted.” 🙊
Most people see diets as a thing w/ an expiration date. And that does us no good — to sum this idea up, we can’t cut calories forever until they’re 0, & we also can’t just stop once our diet has “expired”, expecting our bodies to effortlessly maintain the new weight.
💡So what’s the solution?? If you’re still with me, leave a comment below & I’ll make my next post about “dieting” as a LIFESTYLE change, and what works for me. 🤗💪🏼⬇️⬇️

✨Will this be the year? The year you finally take control of your health and wellness?✨ Every day you use awful chemicals on yourself, your kids, and everywhere in your home. And it’s okay. I didn’t know what I was doing to myself. We were raised in a generation of shortcuts and easy to use products. Companies use harmful ingredients that cost less and can stretch further. And we as the consumer pay for it. •
