The Statue of Andrew Jackson overlooking #jacksonsquare. #bigeasy #nola .
Andrew Jackson was a bitter man. At age 13, he refused to shine the boots of a British officer. The British officer struck Jackson with his sword. He blocked the blow with his wrist, but still suffered from migraine headaches for the rest of his life. .
During the War of 1812, he had his chance for revenge. During the Battle of New Orleans, he decimated the opposing British army. This was the only land victory on the American side during the war, but the Treaty of Ghent was signed two weeks before the battle.

I mean, what else are you supposed to do when chance presents you with not one, but TWO machetes autographed by Kane Hodder??? 😂
Painting by JT Mauser- bought in Jackson Square almost 8 years ago. Finally hanging it up above both a Christmas gift and a birthday gift that I got much, much later lmao. Thanks bro!

Springtime in New Orleans 🌸 It was one of those weekends that it was supposed to rain all weekend but never did and instead was 80 degrees. Considering the alternative, I’ll take it.
