Everybody meet Kida! (Based off the movie Journey to Atlantis) She's a Blue Nose Pit Bull, very very cuddley, but very very sassy.

#Repost @meganburgesgilliam ... i can’t believe Emma's first birthday has passed. It was a year of getting to know her, figuring out how to be parents, and a whole year of making milk for her! I am currently winding down my pumping schedule (since Emma is finally liking food quite a bit) and will soon be done with pumping entirely! I'm getting all the feels from being at the end of it. I feel like I'm losing a super power in some ways because making food for your child with your own body is pretty amazing. I'm also so happy that Emma was able to do so well from my milk for so long and am happy to move on. ⠀
November is #PrematurityAwarenessMonth. You all probably know by now, when Emma was born she was in the #NICU at Children's Hospital for the first 11 days of her life. We are beyond lucky that our little girl is now healthy and happy, but in the hospital we saw plenty of little babies not doing so well. I didn't know it at the time, but it’s relatively unknown that cow milk-based fortifier is commonly used in the NICU, which is why I’m partnering with @prolacta_bioscience on this #sponsored post today to help raise awareness of a human milk fortifier which is made from human milk, and is used in the NICU to give preemies the extra calories, protein and nutrients they need to grow. I was surprised to learn that even though all of these products are labeled “human milk fortifier” (because they are added to human milk), they’re usually made from cow milk!⠀

If you have a new preemie, or know someone who does, please visit the link in my bio to access (and share) an infograph that will help you learn more and talk to your baby’s care team about the benefits of human milk fortifier that is made from 100% human milk, not cow milk.⠀

Feeling a bit Swedish! Sketches for #lagom #infographic taking shape as promo piece for Treetop Studio. What an interesting topic! Lagom loosely means, "not too little, not too much". We could all use more lagom in our lives. Working on different titles for this. I'm thinking "6 steps to living a Lagom life" may work with 6 illustrations to accompany the 6 points. #sweden #balance #living #fika #semiskimmedmilk #infograph #information #graphicdesign #kanelbullar #ikea #work #life #lifestyle #happiness #treetopstudio #dublin #scandinavian

Creatine 💊 - the supplement that all mums & grandmas think is the fitness industry’s illegal drug. -
-
WRONG❌ creatine is a naturally occurring substance. It occurs in our bodies & in domestic meats such as lean turkey breast, chicken breast and veal loin 🍗 -
-
It helps produce energy by donating a phosphate to ADP 🤝 however the stores of it do deplete very quickly, so it’s important to keep on top of it. Many athletes take creatine & it helps them improve their performance as it’s an ergogenic aid.. and that’s all they do 🏋🏼‍♀️
-
-
It isn’t a steroid 🙄
It isn’t bad for you ❌
It’s even been said that if you don’t exercise, still taking creatine can keep maintenance of strength (which is helpful for the elderly)👵🏼
-
-
Though a 1/3 of people are unresponsive to creatine, many of us take it on a daily basis. If you want to know more on creatine, do a google scholar search to ensure you’re getting all the correct info 👍🏻

Why does the government think #Egypt may stop importing natural gas soon? Here is a breakdown of how our production is closing in on our consumption levels.

I am FINALLY lifting again!
-
Taking things very easy, very slowly.
Weekly progressions starting at a very minimal base.
-
3 Full Body Workouts a week which include 2-3 sets of each body part.
Any type of workout is beneficial for me at this point, it's been a month since I've really lifted some weights.
So the smartest route for me is to start small and Progressively Overload as time moves forward.
-
This approach begs the question though, at what point do I throw some real fuckin weight around? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Only time can tell.
