In just a few short days, my husband and I will be celebrating ten remarkable and fruitful years together. It was faith that led us on to our fate. For the day that I met him, was the very same day I had prayed for the right one. Providence took its course on two strangers at the bus stop. From a little conversation on books, to daily lunch dates and to finally saying those precious words at the beach just as a flock of seagulls flew closely overhead (I kid you not, this really happened!), our union was sealed. And though those ten years have had its ups and downs, facing many adventures as well as obstacles along the way, we have managed to stay steadfast in our bond. Truest are the words that when you open your heart, the universe conspires to your advantage. #imetmyheartinsanfrancisco

It's been three weeks and I'm still obviously suffering from vacation withdrawals. Suitcases have long been unpacked, school supplies, purchased. The oldest has returned to school, back in her rigid daily routine. The little one, happy to be back in the comforts of familiar surroundings once more, while I've been busy with some end of season cleaning. All in all, the brood is back in the daily grind. And though the torturous desert heat still remain, the long, laid back days of summer have sadly fluttered away. Yet, photos of our most recent adventure still linger in my computer screen, the images still burn vividly in my mind. And so, I post this one last hurrah from the slew of vacation photos (because his happy face says it all, don't you think?) as I make way for more recent events... Well, for now at least. #iwisheverydaywasaholiday #imetmyheartinsanfrancisco #dslr

I've declared today a lazy day. So while the babe takes his mid-day nap and the other half of the brood are out on a father-daughter date, I shall hit rewind to a chilly Saturday morning sail. I'm sitting at the bow, my usual spot since my maiden voyage about a decade ago, enjoying the breeze. Face cold, fingers yearning to thaw. I lean against the edge, feet dangling while I look at the water below. Up and down the boat bobs, bringing a little tickle to my stomach. This is my spot. It's confirmed by The Captain. No one's crazy enough to do it, he says. I let the men have their usual sailor talk while I relish the bygone days, just sitting here in my happy place. #latergram

She sails on a cold, foggy day when the wind is high. The chill of salt spray wakens her senses, filled with the excitement of adventure. From helm to bow, she walks to and fro. Her movements, sure-footed, hands firmly on the line as the boat tips to the side. She imagines herself, a sailor lost at sea. How wondrous her childhood must be! #latergram

Here I proclaim my inner dorkiness. Very much like a groupie at a rock concert, I literally squealed upon seeing this wall. It was as if I met the man himself. Yup, I'm a big #Banksy fan. Aaaalrighty then! Back to regular programming...

He's constantly in motion, this little guy of mine. He didn't come with a pause button, you see. Not for meals nor diaper changes. He has even declared war on any form of restraint. Poor little high chair, abandoned, collecting dust at the far end corner of the room. And what about car seats, you ask? Not very enjoyable at all to say the very least. Well, not up until recently. Daily, he zooms around the house always on a mission. Scaling step stools, staircases and ladders well before his first birthday. A trip to the store or the local library with him tagging along could mean playing a "fun" game of Where's Waldo if I'm not too careful. But in spite of it all, the pitter patter of his tiny little feet brings music to my ears. And even though my head may be spinning, my heart does too.

There's no greater joy than for a mother to witness her children love one another. They give me purpose. Strive to be better. Bring completeness to my being. #imetmyheartinsanfrancisco

This used to be the scene from one of our wanderings. 10 years ago. Rambling, laughing or just simply walking. Brief silences, comfortable. At ease with each other's company. I'll spare you any more mush, dear friends. For tonight's one of those rare times I actually decide to watch a romance flick. (And the hubby willingly sits in). Have a lovely night, or day, whichever part of the world you are at at the moment! #imetmyheartinsanfrancisco #latergram

Let me tell you a story about friendship and of fate. It all began in Denver, where they worked in a small architectural firm. But his friend had left for San Francisco. Perhaps because his heart had been called away and lead him to a lovely girl from the Bay. A few years went by, and he flew in to visit his friend. And on that day, while waiting at his friend's office to go out to lunch, he landed a job. These two have known each other for 16 long years. They will tell you the most interesting encounters like how they, two towering (6'2" & 6'3") guys, got kicked out from an all-you-can-eat sushi place for staying too long and almost consuming the place's entire inventory. Or the time a Chinese co-worker had mistaken one for the other and then proceeded by saying "Ah, ow-white-peepr-rook-the same!" Or how he had made everyone break in tears while giving a most heartfelt speech as Best Man at the other's wedding reception. His friend had married the same lovely girl, by the way. And here they are, on a lunch break on a clear sunny day at the wharf, as the seagulls screeched and the waves rushed against the pier, amidst the clinking of silverware and loud chatter from a nearby table, they took where they had last left off. I suppose you can say, that if it weren't for this beautiful friendship, I wouldn't have met my husband and my children would not have come to be. Providence is continuously at work through the people we meet and the relationships we build with them. #nofilter #latergram
